Danny Garcia vs Paulie M

Apparently this is likely for August 1st. Danny Jacobs will probably be featured on the undercard, with Sergio Mora and Matthew Macklin given as possible opponents.

I assume this will be at 147?

Lame opponents for Jacobs, too. I'd prefer Macklin but Jacobs will beat either guy soundly.

Rafael thinks it would be over 140.

Someone tweeted: Paulie earns title shot by getting KOd by Porter a year ago, in another wt class

Rafael responded: If he fights Garcia it wont be a title fight, it would be over 140.

Just imagine, Garcia 'beats' Khan, Judah, Matthysse, Peterson... and loses his '0' against Paulie Malignaggi.

I thought PM was done, he showed very little vs Porter. I don't believe DG has the goods to KO PM but he may well get outclassed because PM may not have a punch but he does have boxing skills.

So I assume it's now a one-horse race for Amir Khan to become Floyd Mayweather's next challenger?
Man I hope it is not Khan. That bastard already has too big of a head.
Getting a great payday and he will think he is God

Fvck me, anyone ever seen a better case of pissing away whatever goodwill one once had than Danny Garcia? Beating up super-featherweights, struggling massively with guys he's supposed to beat or losing to awkward journeymen, Danny's run the gamut of fornicate-stupid career decisions.

Can we have another pro-Haymon circle jerk about how he's good for boxing, please?

My sentiments exactly. And it was all going so well after he established himself as the true no.1 by beating Khan and Matthysee. He could have really pushed on and become a big star by getting involved in big fights as opposed to feasting on the likes of Salka or the awkward Herrera.

i'd like to see garcia-pacman at 140, and i think if pacman wanted it, the fight could get
made despite all the haymon crap. pac's last fight will probably be at 140 anyways and
garcia would be the best opponent for him there, although crawford is with top rank and
maybe better than garcia and set to take over when garcia leaves. garcia would be the
bigger fight.

I really hope that this is just a rumor. Danny Garcia can't afford to take a fight like this after his recent streak of fights with questionable wins and getting his face rearranged by ordinary boxers like Herrera and Peterson (probably better than ordinary but you know what i mean). Garcia looks like a shell of the former self that beat an animal like Matthysse. Sad day.

And people rave about how PBc is good for boxing.

DSG may as well just fight his mandatory or just finally move up to 147.

at worst chuck DSG in with Berto. in fact that's a good first fight at the weight.

SSM blew his success after beating Oscar when took on Tomato Can after Tomato Can and then when he finally decided to step up to someone real (Vernon Forrest) we saw him get handled.

As far as Haymon, regardless of the piss poor matchmaking, he is still good for boxing in the eyes of the casual fan because he is giving young and up and coming fighters exposure they wouldn't otherwise get (especially for free).

To us hardcore boxing fans, Haymon is cheating us out of the bouts we would make if we were in this business.
