Do yall Like Mike Tyson?
Ive always been a fan of Tyson and I believe he was imprisoned for a crime he did not commit, even the most extreme Tyson hater must admit that case was very controversial and we all know that Miss Washington had cried rape before but it turned out it was a lie. Plus we know Tyson's lawyer - Vince Phillips knew absolutley nothing about rape.
The whole trial seemed very fishy to me and only 2 people know if Tyson really did commit the crime....but in my opinion the trial was just a joke, a bad joke.

From what I read in books and heard I didnt really hear or read any evidende of rape, nor did I read/her anything of bruising or marks as a 220 pound man like Tyson holding down Washington would of made bruises on her arms or anywhere else - but there was no bruises of any kind.Decagon wrote:I disagree. There was a shitload of physical evidence of rape. Washington's anus required surgery after the two had "sex." When Washington was on the stand, I believed her. When Tyson was on the stand, I didn't believe him.
Maybe Tyson would have gotten off if he hadn't testified, but he did testify, and NO ONE believed him.
One thing that also made me wonder was why didnt Washington scream? There was people I believe staying in rooms next to Tyson's and if she of screamed then people could of contacted the police immediently. Another question is that when Washington was in the bathroom at one point during this incident why didnt she contact for help as I believe there was a phone in there and why didnt she leave through the backdoor as there was a door in the bathoom that led out to the hallway I believe.
The whole trial was really her word against his and even though Tyson has done some bad things outside (and inside) of the ring, I dont think he is evil enough to commit a disgusting crime such as rape.
Trevor Berbick and Tony Alaya on the other hand are examples of evil men but Tyson is certainly not in their catergory.

Im not condoning Tyson's crimes Boxbuzz, im simply stating the well known fact that those who are abused are more likely to become abusers themselves. Of course nobody should get away with rapeBoxBuzz wrote:Yes he had such bad childhood experiences that he should be issued a pass for a few more rapes. For those who had a good upbringing they should be punished more severely for the same crimes.
This is pure, sensible, fair logic. I just hope everyone has enough working grey matter to know and understand this reasoning.
Guys like Larry Holmes and Earnie Shavers had just as hard upbringings as Tyson, yet didn't resort to mugging and what not as a result>>....BoxBuzz wrote:Yes he had such bad childhood experiences that he should be issued a pass for a few more rapes. I don't really see why Berbick and Ayala are evil but Tyson isn't?...... remember he got off from a hell of a lot before his behaviour fiinally caught up with him... what we know that he has doen is probably just the half of it....RazorKO wrote:From what I read in books and heard I didnt really hear or read any evidende of rape, nor did I read/her anything of bruising or marks as a 220 pound man like Tyson holding down Washington would of made bruises on her arms or anywhere else - but there was no bruises of any kind.Decagon wrote:I disagree. I believe and may other people think that Tyson was innocent of his rape conviction, but Berbick and Ayala's case on the other hand were found guilty and no controversy surrounds their cases like they do Tyson's. - I read somewhere that Berbick not only raped this woman but tortured her and Berbick also was involved in armed robbery and shoved a gun down his managers throat after a row. Ayala did the same thing to a woman back in the 80's. Infact when Ayala used to knock someone down or out he sometimes spat on the opponent and we all know that after fights Tyson behaved kindly towards his fallen oponent - helping him up and hugging the opponent.silkov wrote:I don't really see why Berbick and Ayala are evil but Tyson isn't?...... remember he got off from a hell of a lot before his behaviour fiinally caught up with him... what we know that he has doen is probably just the half of it....RazorKO wrote:From what I read in books and heard I didnt really hear or read any evidende of rape, nor did I read/her anything of bruising or marks as a 220 pound man like Tyson holding down Washington would of made bruises on her arms or anywhere else - but there was no bruises of any kind.Decagon wrote:I disagree. Berbick and Alaya's crime was so bad that Berbick was deported out of Canada back to Jamica and Alaya was in prison for about 19/20 years.
As I said Tyson has done some bad things inside and outside of the ring - but the stuff Mike did is really nothing compared to the pure evil crimes Berbick and Alaya had commited.

Exactly. Hell look at Foreman's childhood it was pretty awful, but now he's the happy man selling grills.silkov wrote:Guys like Larry Holmes and Earnie Shavers had just as hard upbringings as Tyson, yet didn't resort to mugging and what not as a result>>....BoxBuzz wrote:Yes he had such bad childhood experiences that he should be issued a pass for a few more rapes. I cant remeber rape being mentioned in that case, I thought Dokes got sent down for beating his partner to a pulp whilst off his head on drugs.RazorKO wrote:Michael Dokes also raped his wife and is in prison for his crime.
From what I can recall the poor girl was so badly beaten the police couldn't identify he face from her photo on her driving license. I am sure I also remember reading that she claimed this was the first time Dokes had been violent towards her in all the years they had been together.
Dokes must be up for parole soon? Maybe?
His first rape? I dont know who that was unless you are referring to Teddy Atlas's neice and Tyson did behave badly but i think Tyson just made some rude comments about her and Tyson was a just a 15 year old who needed disicpline.Decagon wrote:Again, what about Tyson's first rape, which he later admitted to? Berbick was mentally disabled. Sure, Tyson has a mood disorder, but Berbick howled to the moon before getting on medication.
I never knew Berbick was mentally disabled but still his crimes were very evil and totally disgraceful.
I think Dokes did rape his wife as well as assault her as as you said, Dokes was high on drugs. I thought Dokes had his life turned around when he gave an excellent performance against Holyfield, but he must still be on coke and he has also been in several street fights recently I heard.KOJOE90 wrote:I cant remeber rape being mentioned in that case, I thought Dokes got sent down for beating his partner to a pulp whilst off his head on drugs.RazorKO wrote:Michael Dokes also raped his wife and is in prison for his crime.

So is he out of prison then?RazorKO wrote:I think Dokes did rape his wife as well as assault her as as you said, Dokes was high on drugs. I think he is now as he has been spotted in night clubs where he has been in street brawls, but he was in prison for his crime against his wife.KOJOE90 wrote:So is he out of prison then?RazorKO wrote:I think Dokes did rape his wife as well as assault her as as you said, Dokes was high on drugs.
