He was an OK superheavyweight with decent skills, but every time he faced the elite fighters he lost. His losses (7 of 8)
Twice to Roberto Camarelle (Euro #2 for a long time)
Mohamed Reda Mohamed Aly (Olympic silver)
Kim Stur Thomsen (He really should have won that one)
Alexander Povetkin (Olympic and world champ)
Alexander Apanasionok (decent euro/world level fighter)
Roman Romanchuk (World champ)
But when Bertino fourght lower lever competition he always won.
He has decent skills and his power is improving, in the latest amateur fight I saw him he KOed his opponent after 10 secs. Time will tell if he will be another Steffen Nielsen or Brian Nielsen.

Thanks Dude - sounds like he is nothing to get too excited about; though no disgrace to lose to Povetkin, Romanchuk and Camarelle...Freiheit wrote:He was an OK superheavyweight with decent skills, but every time he faced the elite fighters he lost. His losses (7 of 8)
