you are dealing with that really weird boxing culture that is always a moment's notice away from calling anyBobbyptsd wrote: If Cotto wasn't #1 at junior middle after beating Foreman, I'd like to know who was. And Geale wasn't shot.
hall of famer, champion, legit world contender, etc, a shot bum after a loss. no other sport does this.
the superbowl champs could struggle or lose to a non-playoff team and nobody says they are shot bums.
only in boxing can a multi-division titlist maul a legit contender like that and it's now all about shot bums.

So, beating one-legged Foreman somehow made Cotto #1 at LMW ???

Canelo will stop Cotto late in a very entertaining fight round 10

Yet, Cotto did much better vs Floyd than Canelo did.... Go figure.diddy wrote:Cotto couldn't handle Trout but would beat Canelo?
No.
This fight's a toss up.

Foreman beat Santos. Again, if Cotto wasn't #1 at junior middle at that time, I don't know who was.ikorolev wrote:So, beating one-legged Foreman somehow made Cotto #1 at LMW ???
You can look through anyone's record and say ''this guy was too old.... this guy was too young.... this guy got injured..... this guy was shot because he lost once....etc''.
Cotto was still a great fighter at junior middle, and he's still a great fighter now.
