I thought Kessler could have been more gracious after he lost to Ward, putting the loss purely down to being butted numerous times. He was well and truely schooled that night, Ward boxed circles around him. Kessler was favourite going in and nobody, least of all the viking warrior, could have expected Ward to dish out that sort of mauling.

Butts or no butts, he got his ass handed to him that night by a far superior technician.

To be fair to Kessler, Ward headnutted him about a billion times, which must have put him out of his stride a little bit. The rerf allowed him to get away with it, of course. It in interesting that Ward won't box outside america.

The more I think about it, the more I think this is the winner. The whole situation was completely ridiculous - Khan tweeting out a photo asking "does anyone recognise the man in the hat" was a memorable low for boxing.
