Strategic advantage. Being a great fighter and trying to line factors up to one's advantage aren't mutually exclusive. They often go together, in fact.
Some are buying judges, others drain their opponents. Any way they can get unfair advantage is good :shame:
There's a fair bit of nuance between unfair and strategic.

I think draining your bigger opponent is unfair unless an offer comes from his side. It is somewhat like having somebody hold your opponent while you are beating him.

Geale should probably retire now. If not at least hang around oz and fight some domestic opponents. I'm sure him and soliman would sell. Or even a rubber match with Mundine.Ive felt he was never the same after the Barker fight. I've meet him bwfore, he's a super nice guy, but yes quit in two big fights now, I know on some level it may be the right thing to do, probably thinking of his young family, but on the other hand, this is boxing, and people pay a lot for tickets, and sometimes hotels and flights too, so it a not a good look when a guy quits at the first sign of trouble.
Whatever he does, good luck to him, he's had a solid career and beaten some solid fighters

Geale/Soliman or Geale/Murray would be decent because none of them are huge punchers.

The best that can be said about Cotto v Geale is that at least Cotto fought someone who was fit unlike the injured Margarito and Martinez he previously fought.
