Easy nights work for Lara the guy is just too smooth for most 154 and 160LBERS.

Give me lara v cotto or GGG.

Lara beats them both.

A lot of fighters would have an easy night with Rodriguez. He couldn't even beat shot to shit Joachim Alcine not long ago.

Lara has never been aggressive but it seems to me like he's especially cautious since Angulo hurt him and put him on his ass twice. I think Lara would go into a shell and be overly hesitant to throw if he fought GGG. GGG's opponents have also had their best moments when they stand and engage him, and I don't see Lara doing that, although I can see him moving around virtually non-stop and being trapped on the ropes, as GGG cuts off the ring very well.

And I know you think GGG is overrated KB, and I believe the same to an extent, but at least he was never lucky to draw with Carlos Molina, didn't go life and death with Angulo, and hasn't been held to a draw by someone like Vanes. Lara is one of the more overrated fighters in the sport and has been for a while.

Nothing surprising about the fight last night,i expected a dominant Lara performance and got one,I thought he would've maybe got Rodriguez outta there but not surprised he never,Delvin's just not in his league but he maybe could've went for broke,in fact both guys could've went for broke, its not Erislandy's style though,I had Lara winning every round

I was cursing the ref for not scoring the 2nd KD but having watched the replay the shot landed on Rodriguez's glove so it was the correct call despite the commentators saying otherwise

Who was that commentator anyway? He was shite and kept calling Lara "Laura"

Probably the easiest call ever. Clearly that second KD was a slip as you can clearly see Lara's right foot kick out Rod's left foot. The punches didn't score and it was just a transition slip. Easy call and the correct call.

I can't believe Lara is 5'9", I'm half an inch taller but he looks a lot taller than that/me. Assumed he was closer to 6'.
Great performance by Lara although he could have easily stopped Rodriguez who is tough if nothing else, but the guy is shopworn and has been for a while.

He definitely beats Cotto. Not so sure about GGG. GGG is well known as a big puncher, but may be very under-rated at being a skilled boxer and is one of the best at cutting off the ring. Love to see it. Roach has already said Lara brings nothing to the table for Cotto. Translated, he knows Cotto doesn't stand a chance in hell to beat him.

Lara didn't do anything out of the ordinary, it was a bad match up and neither of them gained points from this fight.
