What did i just read?CrazyHorse wrote:Should be Thurman. Floyd should tell Khan to beat a puncher like Matts in order to fight Floyd lol
Thurman can box, he can punch, he is undefeated, young. Khan is just a mouthy boxer wanting a big cash fight to finish his career with. Give Thurman the shot
Didn't Khan get rocked by Collazo and Diaz? And arguably lost to Algieri? And this guy deserves the Floyd fight? He got knocked out by Danny Garcia FFS. Can Khan beat Thurman, Porter, Bradley? (all top welterweights). I don't think so. Khan is so overrated it is sickening. He has steered clear of punchers for the past 3 years because he knows the next swift gust of wind will send him packing his bags back to Bolton, Lancashire, United Kingdom.
Kind of funny how when he was pressured to rematch Prescott he said stuff like "That fight will always be there" and pretty sure he said there was no rush or something. Guy wants nothing to do with Prescott or any other PUNCHERS for that matter.
Never read so much BS in my life.
He Beat Collazo and Diaz convincingly.
Arguably lost to Algieri? According to who? Algieri's parents? You said in another post you didn't even watch the fight you mong.
As for beating "Punchers first" - He beat Maidana who Mayweather faced twice.
And you rather him face Keith Thurman - Year ANOTHER slow one dimensional Brawler who hasn't himself been tested. Are you seriously this dense?
No wonder boxing is in the shitters - It's fans are the biggest retards in any sport.
Re: floyd's last ... who should it be?
Khan beat Alexander and Collazo convincingly. He beat Maidana, but survived the 10th with a little help from the ref....still, credit for that win. Against Diaz, he was very lucky to get the win. He didn't beat Diaz convincingly...not even close. I thought he won vs Algieri by a round or two, but didn't look great, which he himself admitted. I think a fight with him vs Thurman would be a good fight, pretty even, until Khan gets KO'd.observer1 wrote:What did i just read?CrazyHorse wrote:Should be Thurman. I don't get this "he doesn't deserve this" bollocks. These boxers earn a fortune for these fights, not us. So i don't understand this fanboyism and blind loyalty/hate.
I just want to see the most interesting fights.
As it stands - Mayweather is #1 and i want to see him against something different. Someone with quick fast hands and can box. That is Khan.
Yes, Khan will probably get toasted - but i rather see that then Mayweather Pot Shot a slow Thurman to a 120-108 BS UD.

same here. rather see something that has atGilly? wrote:Khan is the fight I'd like to see.
He's making it increasingly difficult to defend him lately, he's talking a lot and it's getting tiresome but I still rate him incredibly highly. His height, reach and his immaculate jab would cause a lot of problems for Money. I don't expect him to win, but I think it'll bet called on a MD.
least the potential to be exciting.

Re: floyd's last ... who should it be?
I think whoever he fights, it's likely to be a snorefest, so I'm not really that bothered.
He's not going to take any undue risks as he nears the end - he'll want to protect the zero, so it will be someone he has already beaten, or someone who is a safe bet.

Re: floyd's last ... who should it be?
I'd like to see Floyd v. Lara simply because it's Floyd fighting a younger guy with a pretty similar, defensive style to himself.
If he could put a great, young defensive fighter like Lara away at age 38 it would be the definitive "I'm the best defensive fighter in the history of boxing" statement.
If he fights some heavy-fisted dude, it's gonna be such an easy lock win. Tired of those types of Floyd fights! Get someone super skilled defensively out there for the last hurrah.

Floyd against ANOTHER defensive fighter - Christ, you're a real Masochist aren't you, - there's be 5 shots thrown a round, and more feinting than an evangelical church hall.kcharles520 wrote:I'd like to see Floyd v. this is - not make you the best defensive fighter.
Re: floyd's last ... who should it be?
GGG said that he would destroy Floyd, and Floyd didn't like it:

If Golovkin is "nobody", why would Floyd even bother to respond

I'd love to see that fight happen, no chance floyd takes it though, way too dangerous, I think it would be a huge ppv if marketed properly, " who's 0 will go"

I never wrote that quote but I like itman wrote:handsofstone wrote:Floyd against ANOTHER defensive fighter - Christ, you're a real Masochist aren't you, - there's be 5 shots thrown a round, and more feinting than an evangelical church hall.
Re: floyd's last ... who should it be?
I never thought that I'd say this but i think that the best available opponent is probably Brook. I think Khan lost the sweepstakes by losing to Algieri last month in many people's eyes. I had Algieri winning that fight in a close decision but could see it both ways. The fact that it was that close to deliberate over, killed his chances. Floyd would roll through him.
Brook interests me because of the unknown. No one really knows how good this guy is because he's really only fought one big fight. But he pulled off a huge upset in that fight. The story line would be fantastic and most of all, Floyd would be sticking it to Khan so hard by choosing Brook. The press clippings from Khan would be hilarious if Brook landed the fight that he's been pining 7 years for.
I wonder if Floyd is waiting for what transpires in the Porter/Broner fight before determining an opponent.

LOL to the "new" Khan and the "winning" thing, this forum cracks me up sometimes when I read stuff like this.man wrote:no rematch with manny. cotto was maybe not wide,
but it was not exciting enough. new khan may have
a better shot at winning, but has turned into wlad
and will not make a fun fight to watch. i don't want
to see anything weird like GGG and definitely there
is no reason for rematching canelo. brook still in a
way untested. broner would be too easy. maidana
is behind us. probably leaves us with thurman.
i guess it is fair to say that floyd cleaned the playing
field quite thoroughly ... since it seems hard to even
think of interesting matchups.
