One of the most painful boxers to watch that I have ever seen. Poor skills and a hugging style on a fighter that breatly benefited from a very, very weak era of heavyweights. That's about all I have to say about Ruiz.

Hated is a really strong word...I would say that it is more like most people really dislike him as a boxer. He seems like a good guy, but boxing...well I don't know of anyone that is going to miss him when he retires. I have no idea what he did before boxing...possibly a embrace instructer!

One thing you have to give Ruiz credit for is that he showed great character rebuilding his career after the Tua KO defeat.

Ruiz was actually an entertaining heavyweight to watch before the Tua fight.
