I'd be all for going back to the traditional 8 weight divisions.. merge 130 and 135 toether.. 140 and 147.. 154 and 160..etc

I'd prefer titles being unified rather than divisions. Let fighters fight at their best weight, just make sure they have to fight the best in that weight division.

Duh. Of course there should be less weight classes ... but it's hard to convince some people that there is no discernible difference between the strength of a 130 pound man vs a 135 pound man.

Boxing is already littered with catchweights in that sense.

Flyweight is under 50kg
Eight weights in between those.
One champ at each weight.
