I think most will agree with you when they get to know it better and come to realize it's an improvement from before.Gnome wrote:Am I the only person who think it's a bit of an improvement?

Excellent

No. It's clunky and ugly.Freedom2013 wrote:I think most will agree with you when they get to know it better and come to realize it's an improvement from before.
You were also in favour of years worth of old posts getting deleted, which was another bad opinion about this site.

Including the post whoring thread that must have taken up the entire memory bank of an IBM Cray computer? Loads of those threads were ludicrous.Horse wrote:No. It's clunky and ugly.Freedom2013 wrote:I think most will agree with you when they get to know it better and come to realize it's an improvement from before.

Re: Boxrec Main Site changed?
Hi...Possible to turn OFF the colours on "win, lost, drawn"? Apart from that, a lot of new info, I think is nice, but perhaps two different views would be easier to read?
Best Regards

Sorry, no. Those colours were there in the older version as well.trondkris wrote:Hi...Possible to turn OFF the colours on "win, lost, drawn"? Apart from that, a lot of new info, I think is nice, but perhaps two different views would be easier to read? Best Regards

Re: Boxrec Main Site changed?
This is what happens when everything and every body is using stupid smart phones. It has ruined the Internet. Tables of data, etc ... are not meant to be viewed on phones. I hate responsive design. This is all Google's fault. BoxRec needs a SEPARATE phone site and leave the desktop site the way it is. Everything is congested and you cant read anything clearly.
Sorry box rec, I love you guys and without your site I could not even have my boxing site. And I thank the lord for Boxrec evey day. We would all be lost without you, but your site is not meant for responsive design, there is too much data.
I blame this all on Google pushing web developers to go responsive.
Also the watch list was one of the best features.
But the worst thing is how you cant read anything. My finance could not tell me anything looking at Mayweather's record, who he fought, who won or anything! The old version was SO CLEAR and easy to read.
LARGE DATA AND TABLES ARE not meant to BE VIEWED ON STUPID PHONES.
Smart phones and Google have ruined the GREAT BoxRec and the Internet.
Still will always be thankful for you however, without boxrec all us boxing writers, fans, etc would be LOST!

I like the old way you can set your home location and when bouts were within driving distance it would show up..Also with Manager location etc.

Re: Boxrec Main Site changed?
Just noticed the new format. It's pretty hideous. Especially if you turn the ratings display on. It used to display in a nice tabular format but now the ratings information gets tacked on at the bottom and makes each row like 3x bigger. Really awful design.
I don't mind the new schedule format though. It's nice to have all the information on one page rather than having to click on each card to see TV info and so on.

Fighter's results look bloated and distracting. They were more compact and better readable before.
More importantly, I was able to see boxrec rating before and after each fight, and now it disappeared.

You can still get it, but it's very clunky looking.ikorolev wrote:Fighter's results look bloated and distracting. They were more compact and better readable before.
