Julian Williams comes to mind. I don't know about better but he's a great talent too.

Williams is solid but I haven't been particularly impressed. He appears fairly basic skill-wise to me and unlike some other top fighters who I think this applies to he doesn't seem particularly fast or hard-hitting either.

Spence, on the other hand, stands out to me as an exceptional talent and I think that he'll at least win a title and become one of the better champs in the game.

Is Erickson Lubin from the U.S. originally? I can't recall, so I went to check the database and got scared because I figured my computer had to be infected with some particularly vicious malware when I saw it.

I'm not saying he's better, but he's pretty impressive to me. He's the only guy off the top of my head I thought of when reading the question.

You never know. Someone new might come along in the next month or so. And the next month after that.

Will see the way Boxing is run today...It's going to take some very good matchmaking for someone like Spence who I believe fights for Heyman to make a rapid rise to stardom. It's more like a slow elevator ride going up 15 stories now a days..

Will see...

I am not sure how haymon is going to make any of his guys into stars. Right now, most of the stars or the guys you would need to beat to become a star are with HBO.

Only guy from Haymons stable that i can maybe see becoming a huge star is Wilder and he could (not that he necessarily will) fight the big names in his division without the HBO barrier.

At 175: Stevenson will never fight Kovalev and Hopkins are with HBO or golden boy
At 168: No body good here
160: Jacobs or Quillen aren't going to become stars without beating GGG, cotto, or canelo
154: Not going to be a star unless you fight canelo
147: Hes got floyd, but the other biggest names (bradley, JMM, Pac) are all Top rank. Keith Thurman isn't going to become a star beating porter
140: Crawford, Mathysse, Provodnikov all HBO
135: who cares
130: Who cares
126: Mares and santa cruz aren't going to become stars fighting each other. Have to beat a lomachenko or walters.

So Haymon has a ton of dudes, many of them are good, but I just don't see how he is going to parlay that into stardom for any of them, including errol spence.

I was watching Caleb Plant fight, he looks like he might go somewhere.

Good skill, attractive looking to the general public, and showed a couple tricks up his sleeve to make people interested.

The irony is we all said the same thing about Broner, Russell, and Berto. I do think Russell will still surprise many.

Khytrov is Ukrainian. His American promoter keeps making boxrec change his nationality to American on the site. He competes for Ukraine and comes in with the Ukrainian flag into the ring every fight.

If its Spence you're talking about, I'm already on his bandwagon. Time will TELL...

Yes it is Spence I am referring to. He seems like the real deal, for sure. Not quite sure he is ready for someone like Thurman, Porter, or Brook at this time, but would love to see him against any of the top guys. Maybe he beats them all? Maybe he could fight Khan next? He is definitely and exiting prospect, and we will see him on Floyd's undercard in September. Its kind of funny that in an interview, Thurman didn't seem too excited about facing Spence...which tells me he knows what kind of talent Spence has.

Havent heard of Tommy Robinson but if you mean Tony Harrison, I agree he is right up there as a top prospect. As for Russell, he already holds a major belt since he demolished Jhonny Gonzalez for the WBC title. The rest are legit prospects though...thanks for the input.
When does a fighter turn from prospect to another term because of Russell and Charlo or even Ali I see them more as contenders than prospects.

IMO a fighter is no longer a prospect when he wins a major world title (Russell) or becomes a legit top 10 fighter (Jermell Charlo after the win over Martirosyan). I dont think too many people have Ali in their worldwide top 10, so like Spence, I still consider him a prospect. In fact I dont have much doubt that Spence would defeat Ali if they fought right now. IMO at best Ali would be even money vs Spence.
