Wazza claims he made the match but Gallagher has rejected it.

If true, I wouldn't blame Gallagher for rejecting it.

I'd like to know when the promotional/management deal expires, it may shed light on the stances of fwank and Gallagher.
Re: Liam Smith v Andrade
Signed a new contract December 2013, possibly got 6 or 18 months left.JimJim2009 wrote:I'd like to know when the promotional/management deal expires, it may shed light on the stances of fwank and Gallagher.

Re: Liam Smith v Andrade
Warren normally does this just as a fighter is about smig him off and join matchroom.
Re: Liam Smith v Andrade
Andrade would stop Smith inside 8 rounds.
Re: Liam Smith v Andrade
Just don't want to hear him moan about getting a title shot now. He got one and bottled it. Enough said.

I'd like to see Smith v Liam Williams - that would be some scrap.

Sirimongkol Singwancha told the Thai press he has the fight with Andrade at Foxwoods on August...15th
Re: Liam Smith v Andrade
I'm all for fighters taking opportunities when (and if) offered, but look who Smith has fought in the last 2 years. Makes Rose's pre-Andrade opponents look like a list of killers.rio wrote:Just don't want to hear him moan about getting a title shot now. He got one and bottled it. Enough said.

Re: Liam Smith v Andrade
The word over here is Smith is defending British title against Kris Carslaw. Can't mind the date but I heard London as venue (not sure where).

If he's 6 or 18 months left on his contract then that's not a lot really. If any of us were managing a fighter with only 18 months to go on his contract would we move him into a world title fight now ? we all know from the stories of previous fighters how it goes - you have to sign a contract extension to get the meaningful big fights. Smith's been fighting rubbish for ages and presumably he and his manager know where he's heading in due course. liam is young enough and there's plenty of years left. you can't tell me he looks at the shows (and tv station) callum, paul and stephen are on, and says "i'm happy fighting bums on an obscure channel, in half empty arenas".magnus wrote:I'm all for fighters taking opportunities when (and if) offered, but look who Smith has fought in the last 2 years. it makes rock all sense for him to fight andrade now and if fwank has come out with this publicly i wonder if its the fight outward sign of discord. its one extreme to the other, bum after bum after bum and then thrown in somebody lethal like andrade ? smith isn't the mandatory, so as a voluntary challenger he wouldn't be making that much from it, and as a voluntary he'd be giving away options to the champion.

Where has Warren said this?

Ah cheers I don't watch them, don't get me wrong despite being quite sceptical about IFL at first I quite like they're show on B-O-X-N-A-T-I-O-N just not too bothered about youtube videos.Pugilist-specialist wrote:Interview on IFL.ste1983 wrote:Where has Warren said this?
Definitely sounds like Liam's heading to join the rest of the Smith's. Just hope when he joins Matchroom he doesn't come out with the usual 'can't wait for the big opportunities that Eddie will get for me'

I'd be very surprised if the match was actually made - I don't see what Andrade would have gained from fighting Smith, and it's not like Frank would pay him megabucks.

Re: Liam Smith v Andrade
The money fight at l/mid is Alvarez which is unlikely. If Andrade wants a defence, Smith is no.5.Boxerbeetle wrote:I'd be very surprised if the match was actually made - I don't see what Andrade would have gained from fighting Smith, and it's not like Frank would pay him megabucks.
Wazza seemed quite scathing about Gallagher in interview.

Re: Liam Smith v Andrade
As previously mentioned Sirimongkol apparently has the Andrade fight.

I assume Andrade's team offered everyone in the rankings a low ball offer and the Thai accepted it.

the grass is not always greener! look at Stephen who left W@rren 2 years ago and is no further forward in his career and fighting bums still!
