Froch vs Golovkin in talks...
Re: Froch vs Golovkin
Would obviously love to see it but Froch has been out too long for his age. By the time the fight came round he'd have been inactive for around 18 months. I've always said GGG is all wrong for Froch but it would be a spectacle none the less.

Yes the longer he is out, the less I wish to see the fight, Ring Rust is a killer for older fighters.Stuarty30 wrote:Would obviously love to see it but Froch has been out too long for his age. I'm beginning to be inclined that he should and will just call it quits.
A shame he never got the big fight in Vegas he craved, but to be fair, the hoopla aside, the Chavez Jr fight would have been a one-sided and brief affair anyhow. Carl would have taken him to pieces in pretty short order.

On the other hand, he probably needed a break after the two huge events vs groves. Not only the fights - the first of which he took more flush, worrying punches than in any other fight; the 2nd, a tense affair in which he showed superb fitness and concentration - but also the hype, the attention.
