Sam was dudded by the ref ruling that simple slip/push as a knock-down. That one point difference on the deciding judge's card was telling due to that dodgy knowndown call. Yet how could that other judge give Wade by far the majority of rounds.

Not the biggest stew of all time, but a stew still the same. Wade appeared limited and threw and landed about 50% of the punches that Sam threw and connected with.

That 3 fight plan of Team Solimans is not going to well.

Sounded like the whole crowd booed the decision, and i'd have to agree. Stats showed Soliman landed a lot more punches. Wade looked awful. You could tell by the body language and words in both corners during and after the fight. Soliman and his handlers were extremely confident. Wade and his corner looked depressed

That's boxing!

I had it 96-94 Soliman but I agree with the commentators that the fight was difficult to score.
That was not a good fight.
I scored the first round even and considered calling a few more 10-10 but I really hate scoring rounds that way.
The 97-92 card was a joke, the other two I have no problem with.

Despite not getting the decision Soliman exposed this youngster.
The version of the Soliman in the ring last night is a far cry from the Soliman that stepped in the ring with Winky Wright almost 10 years ago.
If Wade was really a world class boxer on his way to the top of the division we wouldn't be talking about the decision, we would be saying Sam doesn't need to take anymore punches and should be considering retirement.

I watched it live on Fox.

Agree it was an ugly fight, and always will be with Sam.

Knockdown, not a knock down.

Decision, only one winner and that was Sam.
The commentators attempt to squash the unanimous crowd booing, by saying in Sams 3 days there he won them over is embarrassing.

The good thing about boxing followers is a high percentage of people who can look, smell and call shit. ..shit.

I see he's lodging a protest.

Typical Soliman bout. Not being at middleweight it shouldn't impact on Sam's standing with the IBF.
It looked like Sam wasn't "sitting down"on his punches as much as he has previously. Im not sure whether the extra weight adversely impacted him or not - I know the fight was over the middleweight limit, just not sure what Sam weighed in at.
I had Sam a pretty comfortable winner despite the knockdown/push 10 8 round.

Nor could the American crowd. That's why they booed when the judges scores were announced.

3 American judges, In America, delivered a very questionable result. The punch stats alone support that theory.

Both weighed in over the middleweight limit. Soliman at 161 pounds and Wade at 162.5 pounds.

Domenic Wade is likely to be GGG's April 23rd opponent according to Dan Rafael.

Wade was extremely lucky to get the nod against Sam Soliman. I hate to think what GGG will do to him.

GGG vs Wade not confirmed on Boxrec. But sounds like it's a goer from recent reports.
