This would be a fun fight would rather Clev v Braehmer as they have unfinished business but not much difference between the two opponents quality wise IMO.

i like fonfara , can see cleverly getting beat up here badly
Re: Cleverly v Fonfara
Fun match to watch
Re: Cleverly v Fonfara
I remember they were meant to fight a few years ago and folk were moaning about Fonfara as an opponent (think I may have been one of them). Since then he has shown himself to be a good operator and Cleverly has went back the way. I actually think they could produce a right good fight if it came off! Would just edge Fonfara.
Re: Cleverly v Fonfara
Fonfara will stop him. Very rugged handy lad. I know it doesn't always work like this but he put Stevenson on his arse and we all saw what he did to Bellew.
Re: Cleverly v Fonfara
Cleverly will lose soon as he steps up again, a very overrated fighter.

Re: Cleverly v Fonfara
Looks like the fight is set for October. Fonfara by stoppage. He's not a bad fighter and should be way too good for Cleverly.
Re: Cleverly v Fonfara
Winnable fight, cleverly is athletic enough to outwork this guy - but better be careful, especially latebecause Fontana takes a while to get going and carries late power.
Re: Cleverly v Fonfara
Eddie Hearn confirmed this last night much to Tony Bellews delight.

Fair play to Nathan for taking this instead of Braemar, good luck to him.

I'd really like to see this fight.Naandrew wrote: would rather Clev v Braehmer as they have unfinished business.
Clev won his vacant title then never face a world class opponent (or braemer) after winning the title until he got wiped out.
It would be interesting to see how he might have fared had he genuinely challenged for the belt.

Probably relieved he didn't have to get in with him.Naandrew wrote:Eddie Hearn confirmed this last night much to Tony Bellews delight.
