147 at the top again !!!

Post by Chepppaaa »

welterweight division has been at the top for a long time with top dogs like manny, floyd, magarito, cotto and mosley, etc.

i predicted 147 taking a huge hit, cause of many top boxers retiring, but now with guys like crawford, spence, thurman and brook the division takes a huge push to being to #1 division in boxing again.

I think no top 10 in all divisions have such a strong talent pool like 147 has, even with the departure of manny & mayweather

brook
maidana
thurman
khan
bradley
porter
spence
crawford
danny

As far as I know, Crawford has only fought at 140 once. I wouldn't include him at welterweight just yet. Garcia will be having his first full welterweight fight. Maidana......currently in the heavyweight division I heard. :OhYes:

I do agree with most of what you said though, it is a loaded division with lots of exciting match-ups to come....if they quit dancing around each other. (Brook vs Gavin, Thurman vs Collazo, Khan vs Algieri, Garcia vs Paulie, etc)

really? this list can compete with the ones
on their way out? not for me ...

but that is no shame. this density of talent
was just a great and rare thing to witness.
DLH, shane, miguel, floyd, manny, just to
mention the most prominent ... amazing.
just amazing.

i spoke future. right now some fighters either dont fight and eat bbq's all day like maidana and some are still at light welterweight, but down the line top talents like crawford & danny gonne end up and mix it with thurman & spence.

he could already beat a top 5 welterweight. a midget like bradley or porter hahahaha.....he wont never be a p4p king like some mention, but he is already skilled and athletic enough to beat top boxers
