BRADLEY V FLOYD
BRADLEY V FLOYD
I don't hear of many people talking of this match up, and im not sure why. Tim briefly mentioned it after the fight but it wasnt exactly an attempt at "calling out"Floyd. I think t would be a great fight. Is it a possibility? would like to hear other's thoughts.
Re: BRADLEY V FLOYD
Relatively unlikely due to promoter politics. Also, Bradley is so defensive that it would be unlikely to sell well, IMO.
Re: BRADLEY V FLOYD
Bradley has a lot of great attributes, but won't beat Floyd. He is about 90% of the fighter Floyd is, but Floyd would make it look like 60....even at his age.

Re: BRADLEY V FLOYD
The most logical opponent for Floyd.
Re: BRADLEY V FLOYD
I'd love to see Bradley vs Floyd. Although I only see one winner in the fight I think it'd be a remotely interesting fight. Much more interesting then some B level fighter like Berto or Mayfield.
Re: BRADLEY V FLOYD
Floyd vs Bradley not only would be good fight and one that will generate big money but I think TB actually deserves the fight more than anyone else. The word "warrior" is a cliche at this point in professional boxing. Everyone says they are a warrior or the person they just beat was a warrior. Tim Bradley is the definition of a warrior. How he didn't hit the canvas Saturday night late in that fight is testament to his drive and desire.
With that said, i think Floyd rolls through him pretty easily. But if anyone deserves the fight with Floyd, it's TB.

Re: BRADLEY V FLOYD
Bradley is one of the few opponents that would actually come in the fight in shape and not get tired.
Re: BRADLEY V FLOYD
As I'm one that didn't think the Floyd/Pacquiao fight was anywhere near competitive, other than Pacquiao's 2 big points in the fight where he did much of anything... I think Bradley gives Floyd a better fight than Pacquiao and Canelo and feel he'd make it much more interesting and a more competitive fight like Cotto or Madaina did.
Hear me out here... I think the current version of Pacquiao and Canelo would do a number on Bradley on any given day.. As Pacquiao has already shown on 2 occasions despite the robbery in their first fight.
The reasons being, Bradley isn't a one trick pony. Bradley can box, he can brawl and is actually more unpredictable than guys like Pacquiao and Canelo (Pacquiao is by far the most predictable of all of them).
Bradley has the ability to adjust, although I don't feel he uses his intelligence the way he should a lot of times and puts himself in harms way when it's not necessary and we've seen him pay for it on several occasions, but Bradley does have the ability to adjust and does have the intelligence to make a fight with Floyd competitive.
Now here's the main reasons Bradley makes a fight with Floyd competitive... Bradley isn't going to outbox Floyd, but what makes Bradley a tough fight for Floyd is Bradleys "plan B" (and that's as far as Bradley will have look for a plan to get himself into the fight) and Bradleys plan B is always to go for broke. Now, Bradley when going for Broke is a rough and tumble kinda fighter, leads with his head, and throws awkward looping shots and sometimes even some quick combinations.. Now I don't see Bradley hurting Floyd or catching him with anything big, but once he settles in, realizes he has no chance of out boxing FLoyd, he's going to resort to plan B (I'm guessing around the 3rd round).. Now the thing with Bradley is, he's not nearly as effective coming forward and brawling, but with how he leads with his head to get inside, he will have Floyd reluctant to try and counter in fear of getting hit with the crown of Bradleys head as he's jumping in (which will eventually happen).. That's when Bradley will start to have success getting inside and throw a lot of ineffective punches, which Floyd will have no problems defending, but he'll be able to do it or be more willing to do it than guys like Pacquiao and Canelo. Now despite Bradleys inability to be effective inside, during these times he will be the more active fighter and keep himself in the fight with volume punching alone.
I don't think Bradley outboxes Floyd in a million years and I don't see Bradley even landing much of anything significant on Floyd, but the simple fact his plan B is the key to keep the fight competitive and it will, he'd more than likely lose a close decision to Floyd rather than lose a 10-2 rounds type of affair like Canelo and Pacquiao. The clean effective punches will clearly come From Floyd, but like in the first Madaina fight, Bradley will keep himself in the fight by rough house tactics, getting inside and winning rounds here and there on volume alone, even though he'll more than likely not be very effective. I see a relatively ugly fight where Floyd takes the firsst 3 rounds with clean boxing in the middle of the ring, them splitting rounds 4 through 10 once Bradley goes to "plan B" and then Floyd making those trademark adjustments in the championship rounds and winning a tough but clear UD.

Re: BRADLEY V FLOYD
Wouldn't mind the fight , but feel Floyd would take it easily 117-111 type of scores
I don't think Bradley has the power to hurt Floyd, and that's only way to beat him, as he's gonna outbox anyone on the planet

Re: BRADLEY V FLOYD
Would probably be a pretty tactical fight, Bradley is faster than Floyd at this stage of his career, but isn't the technician Floyd is, Bradley could maybe have some in/out success like he did against Marquez.
I don't think Floyd's next fight is going to gain alot of interest either way so it would be interesting to see how an outsider fighter approaches it, Lara comes to mind, even just to see what kind of scorecard Dave Moretti would produce if the other guy spent 12 rounds doing nothing, instead of Floyd.

Re: BRADLEY V FLOYD
Bradley gets hit too much, and he can't really hurt Floyd even if he lands. Floyd will outsmart him and win a clear decision.
... and Tim, if you want to keep remainders of your brain intact, stay away from GGG. Don't listen to Arum, as it will not end well.

May V Pac barely happened and there was 3 hundred million on the table.
There's no way Arum and Floyd work together to make Bradley V May for relative peanuts, when Arum had such a shitty time playing second fiddle promoter for Pac V May.

Re: BRADLEY V FLOYD
Good fight but not a great one. Bradley's defense is very leaky and his punch resistance is now somewhat suspect after taking a shot like that he did in his last fight from Vargas (who isn't a big puncher at all), I believe Mayweather hits harder than Vargas and we all know that Tim isn't a big puncher so he won't have the power to intimidate Floyd once the leather starts to flow.
I can see Floyd winning easily somewhere around 8-4 as he walks TB down since he'll have no fear of his punching power.
