It might actually be a compliment, I suppose in a sense. You guys seem to hold your fighters up to a higher standard than the Americans. If a Paul Smith level fighter in the U.S. loses three title fights, ok, he isn't elite, but maybe he can still be in some good lower level fights down the road, it's not that bad* In the U.K., he almost becomes a pariah of sorts.

What funny scoring? You mean where the judges who weren't from Germany reacted to the characteristically enthusiastic German crowd?
Abraham beat him the first time, and Smith was damn near a hero. The second time he may as well have been a beggar on the street. Which was kind of my whole point.

That's where you have got it mixed up, he was never even close to a hero here, I think you must have been fooled by our media who were screaming that it was an injustice, nobody here gave a sh1t and nobody wanted a rematch except greedy Smith and his promoter.
To sum it up, he hasn't gone from hero to villain as he was never a hero in the first place.
