Jamie Conlan vs Junior Granados
This Saturday on allegedly from Dublin, not a great card in terms of names but it should throw up a few decent scraps,Conlan's impressed me every time I've seen him,he's not a big puncher but he still has an exciting style and has charisma so I'm not surprised Fwank and co have him headlining so soon, they obviously have big plans for him,no names of recognition on Granados record but hes Mexican so it should blend well
Tommy Langford,Stephen Ormond,Patrick Hyland and Steve Collins Jr all on the bill

Granados has been in there with Mario Rodriguez (former IBF 105lb champ) other than that...nothing of note on his record
Re: Jamie Conlan vs Junior Granados
Looking forward hopefully seeing Tommy Langford pick up his first belt as with Conlan don't know too much about eithers opponent but as you say both are Mexicans so are more than likely going tough and coming to fight.

Re: Jamie Conlan vs Junior Granados
Anyone watching this card tonight? I would've done a RBR later but I've got a mate coming up now
I think there might be some good performances from the home fighters, the opposition isn't stellar but you never know,Conlan,Burnett and Ormond are usually good value

Re: Jamie Conlan vs Junior Granados
FW has been mentioning Conlan v Butler which should be decent.

I'll tune in cos there's fcuk all else ever on a Saturday.
The Langford fight could be the only one marginally competitive.

I can't fvcking watch any more of this, Fitzgerald (the hometown fighter, natch) fouling spitefully & churlishly as fvck versus a journeyman who has the temerity not to be run over. Blatant fvcking rabbit punches, the shot after the bell in the third... what a pudendum the referee is, couple of gentle admonitions & it's business as usual.

Shocking refereeing. The only way Fitzgerald has any chance of winning is by fouling and home refereeing cos his skills have diminished.Datsue wrote:I can't fvcking watch any more of this, Fitzgerald (the hometown fighter, natch) fouling spitefully & churlishly as fvck versus a journeyman who has the temerity not to be run over. Point came off in the last round, scored 77-75 to Fitzgerald, fair scorecard.

Good call from there from Steve Lillis. Best in the business Lillis.

Very unimpressed with Burnett, w as spoiling his work never had control of range, didn't look the boss and was swinging wildly at times.

Ormond wins in 2. Looked good but he's getting carried away talking about world titles after that.

Conlan seemed to be talking world titles too...poor guy needs to avoid the WBO champion, the WBC champion, the leading Thai guy, the brother of the WBO champion, the Japanese champion, the WBA interim champion. and half a dozen others...
*Note the WBA champion is pretty poor but he's unlikely to hold the title for much longer and the IBF title is vacant for now

Conlan could have been stopped several times in round 7, lots of guts to take round 8 though...cracking fight...great to see a visitor come to win!

Really surprised Vann didn't stop it but fair play to Conlan getting up and coming back into it.
Great fight could be a draw I think.
