Either the functionality has vastly improved or the search options are easier to find. Either way, great stuff. Would still love to see the up/down arrows in the rankings (best feature of the old site), but starting to get settled in with this version.
Thanks.
Don't worry, up and down is in the works.

There is an error in grid view. Instead of the opponents ratings Pre/Aft its the repeat of the main fighters ratings.

To junk it up like the rest of the Internet? Not sure what this solves.

IMO it saves me time when I'm looking thru the posts and I like something but don't have a response or or even time to write..

I sure would like to know what are the specifics are that most people are objecting to with this new setup?

Nothing was wrong with the old one...

The forum changes I can live with. I rarely browse the database side of BoxRec like I used to though.

I ask you again: why do you put the fighters points on TWICE in the "grid" version? But none of the opponent? And it is divided with a lot of space, which means, that you have to move your eyes = usability goes down. And the weight is also divided by a lot of space. It used to be so, the the weights were close to each other. That meant, that you could easily compare them.

Why not just make the grid-version like the old Boxrec? Then everybody would be happy?

Thank you for your post. We're hoping to get an update live tomorrow which will still have the new features but look more like v3. Bear with us.Thanks!

Why is there a question mark beside everyone's user name, are we getting avatars at some point (you know like every other forum in the world) ?

I think we should remove avatars altogether. They trash forums.

Yes, I like the most recent change. The records were much harder to read with the green, red, and gray backgrounds. And the books are back. :TU:

One question...and at a quick glance I didn't see it addressed in this thread:
what happened to the fighters' weights? They are not even in the new tale-of-the-tape.

Are you looking on mobile, tablet or desktop?

Hi!
I also really like the most recent change, it's so much easier to read now. Last change I couldn't really get used to at all.
Only thing that I'd like to suggest is bringing back possibility to getting from fighters page to event's page with 1 "click".
Right now there are two links that lead you to the same place - venues, so I think it would be more useful if you guys changed one of them to 1 that would lead you to event's page.
Hope it's clear enough.
Good job anyway :TU:

Edit: You can't go straight to event's page from venue's page either, I think that would be nice addition. You can only get to event through date now it seems.

There is a little event icon to the right of the date that leads you to the event. If you can't see it then please clear your cache and reload and you will see it.

I am viewing on a desktop. And I kinda see what's going on now. I now see in the events page, there is a column "lbs" for each fighter. However, it's blank in all cases. I should point out I'm using Firefox. I should also point out I use a script blocker addon. But even when I disable it, that field is still blank. I looked at boxrec on IE and I see the weights. So must be something weird with firefox.

edit: After a reboot, I now see the weights on FF as well.
edit #2: When I saw the blank weight columns, I spot checked 3 events...guess it was just hard luck the 3 events I checked didn't have weights reported. :D

Thanks a lot! It is there indeed, invisible one

One thing got messed up. The dates link to fight days now and not to fight cards. Would be nice if you could fix this.

It's not messed up. The date links to the fight day and the icon next to it to the event. Just like it was before. If you can't see the event icon then please clear your cache and hit refresh.

Thanks. It appeared after clearing the cache. I still preferred when clicking on the date took you to the card. This way I could copy paste the date along with the link to the card. Cheers.

I still think, you should rearrange the columns. To compare lbs. you have to move your eyes 3 columns. The same with ratings. The ratings used to be next to each other. The weight used to be separated by only the Name of the opponent. That means it was only text between, which made it easy to find - it was just the next number, that that came. Now you have numbers between. That diminishes the usability.

The arrow between the the rating, that symbolises the development, may for at first time user be helpfull, but for everybody else, it will a disturbing element. It slows the reading process down.

Try yourself to see, how fast you can read and compare weight and ratings on the old version and the new.

The "Head" function is cool. That is a great new feature. Thumbs up.

1 more suggestion I'd have is to get back name of the country to the info on place in which fight was held. I mean, flags are cool too, but some times I might have to use google and location without the countery doesn't always tell much:
(Le palais des Sports de Ouaga 2000, Ouagadougou for example).

Recently tweaked to that effect, right?
Does anyone else have other good suggestions?
To me, it's all looking pretty good these days, after a bumpy start to V4. Pretty, pretty good, to quote a bald guy.
