Who will win the Klischko vs. Fury purse bids???
My choice... K2! For around $12mil!
Although I would love Queensberry to get it, or at least the TV rights!

i reckon mick will win this with a jaw dropping bid.
Re: Who will win the Klischko vs. Fury purse bids???
K2 will win. The fight will happen in Germany and fury will probaly lose
Re: Who will win the Klischko vs. Fury purse bids???
Can't see K2 bidding anywhere near that sort of money, they bid $7.1m for Povetkin and $7.25m for Pulev. Unless someone goes crazy I don't think it will reach far past 8 figures if at all. Should find out in about an hour anyway.PokerRob wrote:My choice... K2! For around $12mil!

Re: Who will win the Klischko vs. Fury purse bids???
Matchroom could win this if they are serious. Sky PPV should generate in excess of $ 10 mil which is more then any other promoter can afford.
Re: Who will win the Klischko vs. Fury purse bids???
Sky take half of that though and there's all the other costs associated with putting on a show like this. Also have to consider that there's already a PPV planned for September/October with Brook headlining, to do two in the space of a month would be a huge risk, they got a lot of stick for it with Brook-Gavin, when the other was Mayweather-Pacquiao.Tarkus wrote:Matchroom could win this if they are serious. Re: Who will win the Klischko vs. Fury purse bids???
They could probably merge those, especially that Brook v Rios is in doubt, or delay it. Even if half goes to Sky its enough money. They could probably sell 1mil PPV for 20 pound. Plus ticket sales, advertisement, etc.expe wrote:Sky take half of that though and there's all the other costs associated with putting on a show like this. Re: Who will win the Klischko vs. Fury purse bids???
They wouldn't come close to 1m buys, there's only been three shows in history that have come close to that sort of numbers, Hatton-Mayweather, Mayweather-Pacquiao and Froch-Groves II. From the looks of things Hearn isn't bidding anyway.Tarkus wrote:They could probably merge those, especially that Brook v Rios is in doubt, or delay it. Even if half goes to Sky its enough money. It's Vlad Hryunov, Frank's Russian business partner, manages the Chudinovs and Ustinov.Tarkus wrote:Bid started

Agreement reached at last minute, October 24th in Dusseldorf.
Re: Who will win the Klischko vs. Fury purse bids???
Maybe it would be better for Sky just to settle for the TV rights if K2 promotions win... Would cost them less and they could still quite easilly stick it up on PPV for £16.95..!Tarkus wrote:They could probably merge those, especially that Brook v Rios is in doubt, or delay it. Sure they wouldnt recieve any of the gate or international TV rights, but they also wouldnt have to pay the fighters... or anyone else for that matter... (excluding K2 for the TV rights of course. about $5milish perhaps???)

I see Hrunov but next to him is someone, unfortunately face turned away, that looks like Ryabinsky.expe wrote:It's Vlad Hryunov, Frank's Russian business partner, manages the Chudinovs and Ustinov.Tarkus wrote:Bid started

We take a punt. We get home advantage!
Re: Who will win the Klischko vs. Fury purse bids???
They bottled the purse bid big time, obviously didn't fancy it without a stadium available and took the easy option to guarantee they had it on allegedly.jameswilson wrote:We take a punt. We get home advantage!

Re: Who will win the Klischko vs. Fury purse bids???
Hmmm Oct 24th is the day after my wedding anniversary. Wonder if I can book us a romantic weekend away to Germany so I can watch the fight live...
Re: Who will win the Klischko vs. Fury purse bids???
If it had gone to purse bids I think it would have been very interesting. Rumours of an £/$ 18 million bid from an 'outsider' could have made the agreement between the two parties a little easier however.
Re: Who will win the Klischko vs. Fury purse bids???
Its all quiet from Warren, allegedly and the like on twitter regarding this fight. Surely if they have TV rights sewn up, they'd be all over this? Wouldn't be at all surprised to see this on Sky Box Office.
