Klischko vs. Fury!!! October 24th, Dusseldorf!!!

Post by PokerRob »

Looks like both camps made a deal last minute... K2 to promotoe Klitschko vs Fury in Dusseldorf! No doubt Boxn@tion will have the TV rights as part of this deal!

Apparently Vladimir Hrunov (Andrey Ryabinskiy) was going to bid $18millon!

If Wlad fancies the job I think Fury will get smashed within 3 rounds.

I also wouldn't be surprised if Fury then retired to enjoy his money, saying something like "I can't believe I got away with it for so long".

I hope not.

It is one thing paying a one-off PPV fee, but to have to subscribe to a channel to get access takes the piss (particularly when said channel is subject to many internet posts about how difficult it is to cancel the subscription and they keep taking their direct debits every month).

Best of luck Fury. Up against it but a win would rank up there with the best of them from a UK prospective

I can't believe the amount of people righting off big tyson ?
The last time Wlad fought in madison square garden , he fought an undersized 6ft 3 inch inexperienced no name HW by the name of jennings ,this man had just 19 pro fights against absolute bums ,also jennings has little to zero amateur pedigree , yet Wlad didn't land no more than 3 punches on this bum in 12 rounds , all he did was his Wlad the Grab for the hole 12 rounds !
These haters telling me Big Tyson won't give a better show than that bum ?

I'm sure he'll do better but everything out there suggests wlad wins easy. You rattle offa couple of poor wlad opponents but who has fury beat that suggests he'll make a dent in wlad?

Good luck to him though

No doubt Fury goes out on his shield. Thing is, I think Fury's height and sheer size will be a negative against Wlad. Too easy to tag. Little negative fighters have given Wlad a little bit to think about more than once in the past. He usually excels against the bigger guys and Fury is bigger than most!

Dan Rafael (‏@danrafaelespn)
#KlitschschkoFury will be on HBO in the US, RTL in Germany. Bernd Boente tells me UK TV will be Sky, ITV or BT. In talks. #boxing

Is that Dan Rafael being ignorant / forgetful, or are allegedly really not in the running at all for the UK TV rights?

Jennings' opposition isn't much worse than Fury's and he fought quite negatively, spending most of the bout covering up behind a high guard while taking few chances. I doubt that Fury will be as negative, but that also means that he's likely to present more openings for Wlad's big shots.

Jennings' record is pretty decent, with wins against Perez & Szpilka, he was a solid top 10 ranked fighter when he fought Wlad.

I don't think there's a big difference between Cunningham/Chisora and Perez/Spzilka.

I'd say Fury has beaten better opposition but not by a huge amount, and if you think Jennings has only defeated bums then I don't see how you can think that Fury's beaten any good opponents.

If a deal has been reached between both sides I would be surprised if it wasnt on Boxn@tion... K2 gets to promote it and have it on home soil... What does Fwank get if he doesnt get the TV rights???

Unless of course by both sides they mean K2 and Mick Hennessey, and good old Fwank has nothing to do with it... Then we could be looking at Free to Air on Channel 5!!! :o (Hopeful thinking lol)

Seriously though, Im struggling to see what Team Fury/Mick Hennessey/Fwank Warren has gotten out of this deal!!! They dont get to promote it, its on in Germany, and if they had let it go to purse bids they would of had at least had 25% (or 20%) of the $18mill purse Vlad Hrunov was going to bid!!!

Like when you have to subscribe to Sky to watch their channels? Or any other subscription channel for that matter.

Huge fight for fury I hope he does it. If (big if) fury boxes to a game plan he has a chance he is quicker than most people think but home advantage suggests a wlad points win.

Fury will say he'll do this and that to big up and sell the fight but if he can outjab wlad he'll have a great chance

Confused me that I was thinking the same. Unless he is hoping channel 5 get it.

There isn't a man who's born from his mums vagina who can stop Fury from claiming what is his destiny :bag:

Can't wait for this one,Tyson has as much a chance as anyone of dethroning Wlad,I can't wait for the build up,I do worry about Fury's opponents though,he's got some great wins but I would've like to have seen him in with a Wach,Charr or Ustinov before stepping up to Klitschko
