While I despise the corruption in boxing, Haymon is simply competing. What is Haymon doing that Top Stank and Golden Bouy haven't done?

Hide behind fake promoters and therefore breaking Ali act.
Paying to TV networks, denying access to TV for all other matchmakers.
Working with huge loss, paying oversized salaries from the shows that generate no net income.

Swim in the deep water? Perhaps they should hire gang of hitmen and physically eliminate competition. Is that deep enough for you.

One good one would make more sense, if they are playing in that cesspool.

You make a lot of accusations. The courts will sort it out. Hopefully, the fight will mortally wound all three organizations.

it seems that the career corporate lawyers who filed these suits don't know anything about antitrust law
and should be reading anonymous posts on boxing forums more. they probably think that predatory pricing
that has a likelihood of eliminating competiton is illegal because the supreme court ruled that way, but
what kind of authority should BROOKE GROUP LTD. v. BROWN & WILLIAMSON TOBACCO CORP., (1993)
have over cases like this when we have boxrec posters to proclaim litigious merit?

Hey, Erin Brokovitch, just because a lawsuit is filed doesn't necessarily mean that it has merit. Do you think every lawsuit gets to court? I'm not sure where you live but where I come from, lawyers are nothing more than ambulance chasers and not the most scrupulous people in the world. Al Haymon is a pretty shrewd lawyer in his own right so i'm pretty sure he's kept the law close to mind when creating this company. You don't need to be a lawyer to have an opinion and if your intellect is so above what's found on this boxing forum then find another way to amuse yourself. We are pretty happy here.

So the NFL,MLB and NBA are not monopolies?
Haymon is doing what the 3 above have done in the past.
Which is just trying to make it hard for others to compete.I don't know what the
lawsuit will bring.I have no idea because I am not a lawyer.
But I do think that if the NFL can stranglehold the sport of football. Haymon might
just have a right to do so in boxing.

But again just an opinion :TU:

Actually the NFL did lose a similar lawsuit to the USFL, but in the end they sort of "won" anyway because the judgement against them was for $1.

I think Haymon has been a positive to boxing. I work in a factory with a bunch of guy that have jumped on the boxing band wagaon after they saw Thurman/Guerrero....Degale/Dirrell......Broner/Porter. These r free fights.....GB and TR havent put a fight out as solid as those between them. Canelo /Kirkland....Kirkland had a huge layoff and was made for Canelo. Everyone knew the outcome bf the fight.

Monopolies are only good for sport, when it is a governing body overseeing the entire sport.

Promoters are motivated by one thing only, self interest - and allowing someone who is effectively acting as promoter and manager to establish a monopoly, will in the long term, be damaging to boxing.

Those are either non profit organizations or unions in which and all income is shared by the member clubs. So there is no owner motivated by making money for himself, like in a typical commercial organization.

ok, obviously you have no idea what you are talking about and al haymon is not a lawyer.
i cited the exact anti-trust case the supreme court ruled on that defines predatory pricing.
nobody cares where you or anyone else is from and you speak for nobody here but yourself.

Every owner is motivated by individual profit, as is every union member.

Classic struggle. Old VS New. The best part of this debate is the TR/GBP fans who are basically saying "Let's leave boxing as it is".

All 3 should merge. In five years, every good fighter would be a part of the union.
Haymon just wants money. Arum is dying soon so who gives a fornicate about TR? DLH is just a coke head idiot.

We would be able to have a boxing "regular season". You're talking every stable and more consistent matchmaking because there'd be more options. Fighters who want to fight would be able to. We probably could have 2 good fights every Saturday night ... and still have tons of good shows left over that could be "manager" stable (GBP, TR, PBC, etc.) shows. All the best fights available worldwide like UFC.

Fights could still be different networks, just like almost every other sport.

BUT ... GREED and STUPIDITY

I do not think UFC puts on the greatest shows. They promote it the best.
They take some very mediocre fighters and make them look awesome. Then we as fans get
disappointed when the supposed super fight happens and its another mismatch.
But it is my opinion
