Terry Flanagan v Jose Zepeda POLL
Terry Flanagan v Jose Zepeda POLL
I know nothing about Zepeda so this will be interesting.
Re: Terry Flanagan v Jose Zepeda POLL
I don't know anything about him myself apart from he obviously carries a bit of a whack (going by his record). I don't think he's fought at lightweight so it's a bit strange he's been put in to fight for the vacant title!

Re: Terry Flanagan v Jose Zepeda POLL
I know little of Zepeda except his record and the small piece in this months BM but despite the lack of depth in his CV he sounds like he can fight especially when you consider the sparring partners he's had
Total guess work but I've swayed towards him KO'n Flanagan, Terry's a terrific boxer, skilled southpaw who punches harder than his record suggests,he likes to fight on the front foot, and he's came through every test with flying colours but if Zepeda is that big and punches hard in a higher division then Flanagan might have second thoughts about coming forward after feeling Jose's power therefore letting Zepeda bully him before forcing a stoppage mid to late
I hope I'm wrong though and Flanagan shows he can step up and set a pace that has Zepeda gassing,Terry has no bother going 12
C'mon Flanagan

I'm happy with the card if we see Ustinov and BJS, but I'm not sure these guys are 100% going to be on it and obviously they will be against cans.wesshaw1985 wrote:frank needs to trim these cards.

As long as the main event starts before 11pm, it should be a decent night, with hopefully a cracking main event.
A good weekend of fights.
Just seen it's on Mexican and Argentinian TV, don't think they are tuning in for nothing. Sorry for Terry but I think he gets stopped late on, possibly early if Jose gets those body shots off. Vicious puncher.

Saunders is fighting July 24th, not sure about Ustinov, don't think he was ever on the bill but it got added to the schedule on here for some reason.ScottDetonator wrote:I'm happy with the card if we see Ustinov and BJS, but I'm not sure these guys are 100% going to be on it and obviously they will be against cans.wesshaw1985 wrote:frank needs to trim these cards.

Billy Joe Saunders was initially involved in the press conference for 24th but is currently shown on the FW website as on this weekends show ? ( event info ) .
Re: Terry Flanagan v Jose Zepeda POLL
He was going to fight this weekend but they moved him onto the Buglioni undercard, must not have updated the info on the website.Fortynineandout wrote:Billy Joe Saunders was initially involved in the press conference for 24th but is currently shown on the FW website as on this weekends show ? Anyone else got a feeling Zepeda won't make weight. He looks huge at welter lol.
Re: Terry Flanagan v Jose Zepeda POLL
Was claiming to be 135.2lbs last week, if he was only a few ounces over then he shouldn't have a problem making the weight. But he's either lying, or if it's true then he isn't a big lightweight, or they're making a complete mess of the weight and he's going to be seriously drained come the fight.PredatorHayds wrote:Anyone else got a feeling Zepeda won't make weight. I don't understand how the WBO can sanction a Lightweight World title fight with a guy who's never fought at lightweight.
Re: Terry Flanagan v Jose Zepeda POLL
Watched a few of his fights on you tube looks basic, but every punch causes damage. He just looks for the straight left over and over again.

Good luck to Terry. An honest hard working Mancunian, I hope he gets his rewards. Anyone going ?
