Yeah I know they prayed for that, but I thought I also heard some thing about giving Lee strength or victory or something. Not sure.... Maybe I want listeningLenny wrote:They didn't pray for victory, they prayed that neither fighter would be hurtreggaereggae wrote:I found the group praying a bit odd. Just managed to catch this doc. Really enjoyed it. Selby is a class act. His fans are mental lol. That bus would've been a laugh on the way to the fight!

Nice to see a guy with a lot more positives in his life than he had previously
He seemed to get on very well with his Dad, even though his Dad used to make him run to school and run home and sounds like he was on his case a lot, but it was nice to see they have a good relationship. Also enjoyed seeing a bit of Barry. "The largest coal port in the world, once over..." I would imagine that coal was being exported rather than imported. It sounds like now there's too many folks have found their way on to drugs and it's not as good a place as in its hey-day.
I had not seen Selby and thought that Gradovich would have too much for him, great engine, incessant pressure. I was surprised when Selby won that. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for him from here on. Very down-to-earth, unassuming, hardworking lad - good on him!

Aye I thought that myself, surely if God exists he's got more pressing issues to attend to than making sure Lee Selby wins a title...reggaereggae wrote:I found the group praying a bit odd. Praying for victory in a contest that is essentially legalised assault seems rather unchristian to me!

Thought Selby came across really well in this. his dad is hillarious. Shame no mention for Borg or his bro Andrew.

I enjoyed the programme, I thought it was well made and Lee Selby came across really well incredibly humble and rooted in his community...
