I think it's a perfectly valid question and one I've been ruminating upon myself. I anticipate the fight being snapped up for one of those turgid 'When Boxing Goes Mental' dvds presented by either Dave Courtney or Craig Fairbrass (after Ray Winstone's agent guffawed at the three figure fee), as I have a nagging feeling that in deep end desperation Tyson is going to end up either butting or kicking Wlad whilst his pumped up, vest-clad brethren throw chairs at Vitali. If things follow a more orthodox path I predict an early rounds kayo of the Naz-Billy Hardy variety with the pain of the telling blow etched on Fury's visage like a long term unemployed anarchist's facial spider tattoo.

I'll definitely be rooting for Tyson (well, Luke, but we all tacitly ignore that) as I like him and it'd be fascinating living on a planet where he was deemed the baddest pugilist stalking it, but I fear he will end up shrouded in either disgrace or become the punchline to a million carefully scripted panel show 'ad-libbed' gags, with his 'no man born of woman...' mantra feeling more hollow than a Broadchurch plot twist. A ten minute cursory glance of IFL interviews show he's a chap of rather manic tendencies and this potential new low could be debilitating, regardless of the monetary benefits.

But like I say, 'C'mon Tyson!'.

Well for one fury is too big for klit to hold down and put weight on his back so he ther is an asset klit has lost,if he holds fury then fury is better on the inside than klit so thers another advantage for fury,i bet fury knocks klitsckho out

Fury is decent on the inside and Wlad won't be able to lean on him in the same way he could smaller fighters.
I agree RE: the way Fury should go about this--attempting to outwork the big bastard--but I don't think you need to be a massive hitter to dent Wlad.

Here's his legs doing their funny little dance against Wach, in the fifth round:-

http://www.tubechop.com/watch/6385645

Here's his legs doing their funny little dance against Pulev, in the opener:-

http://www.tubechop.com/watch/6385660

Now, thirty seconds after the latter clip, he basically turned Pulev's lights out with one left hook, & Wach didn't do fornicate-all else all night. But Fury hits plenty hard enough to get Wladdy's legs doing something silly, imo; if Pulev's jab can do it, & Wach's right hand (Wach might be huge but he throws punches like he's underfuckingwater), I'd be astonished if Fury can't.

Not saying he will, but going "Oh Fury can't hit hard enough to dent Wlad at all" is clearly bollocks, imo, unless you think he punches worse than Pulev or Wach (& I have to say, those two for such big blokes can't hit for shit).

As I wrote on the other thread, Wlad's very passive against big dudes, always has been, is content to wear them down sparingly from the outside--Wach, Thompson I, McCline, all were long, drawn-out, cautious affairs, he's not suddenly going to turn into the Terminator. Fury has the workrate, speed & size to potentially give him problems, imo.

Not sure that Fury would be able to deal with Wlad in the clinches, Wlad is by far the stronger man.

Fury can win this. I think it'll be closer than many think it is tough to win in Germany but he can do it!

Firstly, I agree Fury is likely to lose this one. By KO in 5 or less as he comes out swinging and walks on to too many big shots.

Secondly, to answer the question, I think Fury will be fine. There will be plenty of fights for him and even with a defeat on his record he will still only be a couple of fights away from a shot at however (at that point in time) holds the 4th belt. Assuming it's not Wlad of course.

Good clips and good points. Wlad does look chinny in these.... He has become very good at riding it out and fiddling and grabbing his way til his head clears though. Something he didn't know what to do when Sanders hit him.

Fury is getting pummelled, no doubt about it IMO. He has little to no chance, he will be stopped.

Betway go 6/5 on Klit to win by KO, go get some.

That's such a great image, it would be class

Fury walks to the ring In a pair or jeans, no robe, just a little bit of a spare tyre over the top of his jeans literally looking like a bloke who's taken his shirt off to have a fight at the pub, he walks to the ring with a sizeable entourage mostly wearing tank tops under leather jackets (tinker's hat optional), all bellowing stuff at the crowd about fighting men, its a straight go now boys fair play, best fighting men on this Island, etd

Fury is not a feather duster man. As sure as a man is born from his mother's vagina, he will fight to the end and not give best.

Tall order, but he can do it. He can beat that big stiff idiot.

I think if he loses he will just vanish into the sunset happy with his big payday, having said that,i give him a decent chance of winning for a number of reasons, mainly his youth, strength and his belief that he can win.

That's not weak minded. Wlad is the opposite. He got sparked heavily with the eyes of the world on him but went away, regrouped and found a way to win. He's never looked back and beaten every challenger out there.

Behave.

Tyson struggles to stick to his gameplan when fighting geriatric cruiserweights.
That was because Peter couldn't go to America. Tyson is a lunatic but Peter is the only person who can set him straight and under some control. Peter in his corner against Cunningham Fury would have won the fight very easily IMO.

I like it, except for the "just a little bit of spare tyre" bit. There'd be a 5 mile traffic jam's worth.

^ I am prepared to start a sweepstakes on this board to this effect.

Or I would be, if you hadn't already nabbed my first guess as to how long it'll take them to start mauling. Anyone else in for under a minute before the first ugly clinch?

&, say, 90 seconds for the first rabbit punch?

Fury's a big bloke and if it goes into the later rounds it could end up a stamina draining maul for Wlad (he's also going to struggle to employ his patented 'pushing down' technique against a taller fighter)

Think we may see the Wlad of the Pulev fight, after a tentative opener I think Wlad will let some big ones go, Fury has poor defense and a poor chin (even with the magical 'Peter' in his corner) it could be Wlad's quickest win in years.

Wlad in three, Fury disappears for months/years, becomes monstrously obese, sporadic talk about a 'comeback' but never fights again.

Hopefully Hughie gets chinned soon after and then with any luck the whole Fury Freak Show disappears forever.
