I've noticed a fair bit of interest too. A lot from folks who have never mentioned a word about boxing before
Same here, lads just out for an away fay (England away type)

In Furys Boxing News interview he seems to hint theres a good chance for terrestrial tv picking it up. You'd expect ITV as mentioned but could Hennesey be staying loyal to Ch5??

loyalty usually goes at the window if a tv company is willing to pay millions more, suppose channel5 could get if they offer mick a new tv deal for his domestic stable.

As for the fight big fury fan but i think this fight will be the same as the pulev fight.

In Wlad's case he would still be the legitimate lineal heavyweight champion.
Fury would only be fighting for the vacant WBO/WBA alphabet titles.
He wouldn't be if he didn't fight his mandatory, can't duck the number 1 contender then still claim to be champion.
Sorry, but it doesn't work like that.
Wlad would continue to be the lineal champion until he retired or somebody beat him.
It's always about 'the man who beat the man' and not alphabet group titles.

Will be a great atmosphere I think over there - the German's do love a bit of a knees up. I expect Fury to get taken apart, but it should be fun whilst it lasts, I think the big lug will have a go at least, and even if he does fail, he will give it his all, which is all you can expect of anyone.

I've never been a fan of Fury, I'm not sure why, but I'll give any man with the balls to get in the ring with Wlad their due - rather him than me!

He could of had more than that and had it in the UK if he had let it goto purse bids... Think they might have missed a trick there!

Saying that, there could be anything in the contract, like a guaranteed rematch if its a close fight, or a stern ref who wont stand for BS holding!

True... but it would have been nice to have it in the UK, and if Hrunov would have won the purse bid it looks like it would have been!
I don't think it would sell 50,000 tickets in the UK. Just my opinion, but I really don't think Fury has the fan base for it.

He could fill most of that just by bringing his cousins.

Im really looking forward to this fight.

Wlad is a big classy lump, but it would be interesting if Tyson sticks it on him.

Hopefully he has more pride than David Haye and goes for it but regardless of how he fights Wlad is going to beat him, he is several levels above Fury.

Looks like this is going to be PPV in the UK. Steve Bunce wrote earlier in his ESPN column "The fight now looks destined in the UK to be one of Sky television's pay-per-view offerings."

I think this pretty much rules out B0xnati0n.

Fury doesn't have anything to trouble Wlad. I can allready see Fury after the first knock down with a look of shock on his face, easy nights work for Wlad. Nice payday for Tyson though, everyones a winner.

My experience of boxing in Germany would suggest ticket prices will be reasonable. I've been in the stadium to watch football its a great stadium. Ultimately its not going to be the greatest of views from every seat by its nature.

I haven't noticed that much interest from my boxing mates but I haven't been online much since the announcement so perhaps its more down to that.

I think if he does - he needs to do it early on, before Wlad gets into his groove - and be prepared for what starts coming back.

The biggest problem for Fury, is that he isn't really a big puncher, despite his size - and Wlad most certainly is. That left hook of Wlad's is a devastating shot, if he lands flush on Fury, the fight's over.

I give fury about a 20% chance of winning this one.

20%? Id go less than 10% as I'd be backing wlad to win at least 9/10 times

I'm being generous. That's assuming the best possible performance from Fury. To be honest, I should be going 15% being generous.

i'm really surprised that this deal is done - and the fight appears to be going to sky - with fwank apparently completely cut out of the loop. i'm sure he only made Fury/Chisora because he thought he had the winner under his wing regardless of who won. With hindsight he could have kept Delboy treading water and he'd still be the WBO top contender.

From the outside looking in it seems Fwank has been out-manouvered ?

It's a huge ask, we've known that all along. But he will do better than Haye. And come home a rich man, all for a kid who just hits himself in the face...Dad and uncle out of jail, 3.5m, it's all turned out well!

As I've said a few times, they were never going to drop Meaty Mick. He is the manager.

True, at times though over the past year Fwank seems to have been the public representative of Tyson instead of mick, he has talked about the wlad fight so much and for so long that it seems quite a big surprise that he is not part of it, or that it won't be shown on his channel.

I've seen £3.5m mentioned on here a couple of times, has that been announced as his fee officially?

He doesn't have to do much really to do better than Haye but he could still do a lot worse than Haye.
