Take heart though, lest you think Roy Jones has abandoned the German version of that belt. He recently won it yet again, against the decidedly very-little-or-maybe-not-at-all-German Paul Vazquez of Martinez, California, U.S.A .

Just to clarify - you don't have to be German to fight for the WBU v. (Germany based) world title.

I wonder what sort of expenses Danny has these days? Does he actually bother paying a trainer/manager etc? Or does he just train himself & hire cornermen on an ad hoc basis? If so, he's probably doing alright financially from these sort of fights without all the typical overheads to worry about. (Not that I'm saying it's a good idea, mind you)

I think he's basically 'trained' himself for years now and I've noticed that he seems to have different corner men for virtually every fight.

What about this, one of Danny's old opponents Zsolt Bogdan won the Hungary Heavyweight Title last time out beating (are you ready?) a FRENCH Cruiserweight

Danny Williams won again last week, that's 2 on the bounce - would like him to retire on a minor high but at least he's fighting soft opposition!

Who did he beat last week?
I thought his last outing was in June against Pavel Siska.

Danny W v RJJ

Who'd win?

Not boxing, obviously. But I'd seek it out on Youtube.

According to this, Danny is going to fight Luan Krasniqi in a charity event.

Oh, and I am fairly certain he hasn't fought since his win in the Czech Republic in June.

Luan tried tapping up my bird once... I should have hit him. She didn't tell me until later.

Instead of fighting US and Eastern European bums why not just face each other.
A veterans league could be fun. These guys are gonna keep fighting whether we like it or not...

well, not if boxing got it's stinking act together - this is the problem, that fighters are not properly tested, Toney clearly should not be able to get a license to fight - of course he might end up fighting unlicensed, but there's nothing you can do to stop people fighting in some form or another, however, it's bad for the image of boxing to have brain damaged fighters, way way past their prime, still fighting on licensed shows.
