If you could change one rule of boxing....
....what would it be?
Re: If you could change one rule of boxing....
One world champion per weight division.
Re: If you could change one rule of boxing....
The catch weight issue - it's being used as way to really reduce the opponents effectiveness and someone will get seriously hurt.

I'd make it against the rules for national anthems to be played before fights. Yes I know it's not in the rules of boxing per se, but it annoys the sh!t out of me.

Just a British problem but I'd change the fact that your opponent can be cut after an accidental class of heads before the 4th round and you end up with a draw on your record
Why don't the BBBC change it so its a NC like the rest of the world?

When fighters weigh in which makes them fight nearer their true weight

This thread could go on a while
Catchweights in title fights
Referees and judges being 2 separate people, just because you can ref, doesn't mean you can judge

How about open book after each round on scorecards...
Enables each side to know where there at and what the judges are looking for.

The awful rule that allows the scorecards to be read out after 4 and 8 rounds.

Me too - I've always found it a bit of a farce. I follow boxing because It's a sport where you're not required to support someone, so I don't give a shit where the fighter is from.Boxerbeetle wrote:I'd make it against the rules for national anthems to be played before fights. You can still work inside if holding is outlawed. There is no real need for holding in boxing, it's spoiling.Ezzard wrote:I'll sign up for this.reggaereggae wrote:No holding. At all
Boxing without holding would be more entertaining, casual fans always remark "I wish they would stop hugging". There's no skill in it and it ruins the flow.
