So who have we got in this one?

Fancy Perez to have a bit too much and stop Crolla. We don't know how the terrible injury has affected Crolla and I think he'd have been up against it anyway.

If not for the injury and Crolla still had the same momentum going after the Murray win then I'd fancy him to outbox and out tough Perez over the 12 rounds,Darleys is tough too but I reckon the Anthony of 12 months ago would last the distance but taking into account the injury and the fact he's jumping straight in with Perez then it all depends

Crolla has been stopped before but more often than not he's seen it through and he's been in a few wars,Sykes,Mathews twice and Murray to name a few, Perez is a good,strong, game fighter and he's world champ but he inherited the belt and if this was for his Interim then maybe the task in hand wouldn't have looked so hard

I've changed my mind a few times in this one and can make a case for both guys but my head tells me Perez is gonna force a stoppage late on similar to Linares over Mitchell

All the best for Crolla, one of they nicest guys in the sport and after everything he's been through he deserves it

Made my thoughts on Perez quite clear in another thread. He is not amazing just solid and very good timing no where near as good as Abril. I do think Anthony can out work him and he also looks bigger which I think will play an important part.

Agree with everyone. It would have been a tough one before the injury to Crolla so intriguing to know if he will still be the same.

I've watched a bit of Perez and he is unspectacular but very solid at the same time. He doesn't waste too many punches and has an excellent left hook to head and body although tends to depend on it to much - right hand rarely gets used with purpose. He has no fear of boxing on the back foot or standing toe to toe and is a dangerous counter puncher but tends to take one or two to give one back and is there to be outworked by someone of a similar style to Crolla.

Like everybody else, we have no idea what sort of shape Crolla is in, physically or mentally so it's very hard to make a call on the fight. Pre injury, I'd probably pick Crolla to beat Perez to a close decision but I'm staying away from laying any money on it based on the uncertainty.

Perez is actually in the dictionary, under "Workmanlike" ("See also: unspectacular").

He can bang a bit, but is quite static. I expect Crolla to outwork him.

PS: RE: his right hand, he dropped Maicelo with a series of three straight rights when he won the title. He is definitely more left hand happy though (converted southpaw?)
