Was going to get on Tepper in the first 3 rounds and forgot about it. My brother rang me up a couple of minutes before the fight but betting was already suspended for some reason

Someone on here, and I wish I could remember who, pointed out whilst everybody else was extolling the virtues of Price after he despatched Matt Skelton how for a few moments Skelton had backed him up and he seemed desperately clueless.

Teper fought the perfect fight against an opponent with no chin - bull forward with hands high, then blast away when in range.

If Khan had faced more fighters employing those tactics, he'd have a hell of a lot more stoppage losses as well.

Calamitous night for David Price. If there's a big chink in your armour, mental or physical, someone will find it.

You have to wonder about Teper. He has a good smattering of ability and a sizeable dollop of power. Why can't he work himself into peak physical condition? What not maximise your earning potential in the scant few years you have boxing at this level? Why can the big man never see this?

Darwinism continues among the heavyweights.

He's frightened of getting hit hard and he just can't take a flush shot by a heavyweight. He gave it his best though, I'd have retired after the first loss.

Price has all the physical advantages any heavyweight could wish for, but he has no idea how to control distance, Tubby Teper walked him down far to easily. It is evident he is not cut out for this sport, he really should hang them up now. Teper is just a chubby plodder, if he gets any fatter he will need a bra for his next fight.

Barry Jones made an interesting comment tonight about Price's much-maligned jab - how all his amateur fights may have worked against him due to the old point system.

Got me thinking about Gavin/Stalker et al who have struggled to really adapt to the pros, can't help but wonder how they'd have progressed without the amateur 'pedigree' that they all had.

Genuinely shocked by how bad Price was tonight. OK anyone can be tagged and I'm sure Teper has a decent dig on him but an Olympic Bronze medallist shouldn't be being caught cold as easily as this.

I reckon that's it for Price in boxing. His confidence is gone, his chin is gone and I just can't see a way back. Genuinely gutted as I remember watching him destroy Sexton, Harrison and Skelton and thinking he could be the next big thing. How the hell can someone plummet like this. Guess it's all about levels. The worrying thing tonight for me though was the opposition. Tony Thompson was a proven operater at world level ( albeit a losing one). On that basis you can excuse those losses to a certain degree. Teper, whilst having a decent dig is not in that stratosphere and he's blown Price away. GAME OVER

Some ams should stay am to be honest. Gavin and Stalker being good examples, Price? Maybe not seeing as he always carried big power and is in the glamour division but even so, many had reservations about his durability from his am days. He got bounced off the canvas by a fair few in the unpaid code, one tiny Indian in the commonwealths always stands out for me ( even though Price came back to win that one )

Expect to see Joshua take Teper apart within 12 months. Price? Retire big fella, it's done. I'm sure he could come back at a much lower level but I'm not sure he has the resolve for that.

I was on the David Price train massively before TT. He's such a likeable guy and none has a bad word to say about him. It just seems that he just doesn't trust himself in the ring. That was a really shocking performance from a well schooled boxer, Tepper might have power but he was a plodder, someone with the skill set of Price should've been able to beat him with the footwork never mind the fists. I really hoped rather than thought tonight was big Pricey's announcement back on the scene but sadly it was the total opposite. I can't really see a way back other than a years training with a defensive master like Virgil Hunter. I can't see him retiring, I can see a similar situation happening as in he fights 3/4 european guys and builds back up to another European title fight.

This is the end, my friend the end.

Gutted to see this. Price has many of the attributes to be a success in the sport and outside the sport. It just seems he is missing the key component you need. Teper is a plodder and he's ruined price for good

It looks dire for Price. But he could still earn a few quid by beating Tyson Fury once Wlad leathers him.

How do we know Teper isnt on that Stratosphere? Sure he doesnt look great, at weigh-in or in the ring, but he's beat everyone put in front of him and it wasnt just a lucky punch tonight, he clearly dominated every minute of the fight... all 4 of them!!!

Spot on, he just doesn't like a fight, he can't take it, only time he's ever looked good is if he can totally dominate his opponent.

Why does Tepper look like he wont amount to anything... I know he looks a bit soft, footwork and speed arnt exactly mindblowing, but all he can do he beat whats put infront of him!

Me too,thankfully Price will get opportunities again if he carries on,even as supposed cannon fodder and with his power,he'll provide another shock or 2 but he's damaged goods for now

What happened with Price training wise? I'm pretty sure he left Franny Smith in 2013 to team up withTommy Brooks. But Brooks has been AWOL recently so I can only assume Franny has took back the reins. Now no blame to Franny but why give him back training duties? PRice clearly didn't rate the offering he was getting or why change?!
