The extradition order had already been approved when they licensed him, this was his appeal against it and it was pretty clear to anyone with sense that the decision wasn't going to be overturned.
1. British criminals can just evade trial by fleeing abroad
2. Foreign criminals can evade trial by fleeing to Britain unless and until they get caught doing something here

That's a bit of a sweeping statement. I'd want to be in possession of more than a couple of headlines before going that far. He's still a relatively young man and I wouldn't consign someone to the scrapheap as quickly as that.

He's a bankrupt alcoholic who'll be in a Spanish prison (again) next week, his villa has been smashed up and he's had 3 bouts in 10 years. If he's not ruined his life with drink he's certainly spoiled it and it will be very difficult for him to turn things around though I hope he can.

You're being totally unfair there. Scott Harrison was a quality operator. Personally behind the scenes he might have been a bit of a nasty piece of work but you can't really judge unless you know him I suppose. Boxing wise I think he actually under achieved because of his personal problems. You don't get to the level he did just by being bigger than the other guy ffs!
