Manchester RBR July 18th
Re: Manchester RBR July 18th
I had nurse 115-113, he's not getting the breaks.
Re: Manchester RBR July 18th
Draws are awful when British titles are on the line. They should make an effort to come to a decision. If the rematch never comes off (you never know with boxing, the Crolla-Mathews rematch never came off after their draw) then neither of these guys may ever be a British champions but tonight one of them should be!

That Alpecin advert was...odd...
Nurse possibly nicked it but he never does himself any favours. We saw a really talented non puncher earlier today show what to do when you lack power, Nurse on the other hand sleeps through too much of a fight

He's not a crowd pleaser, but he still out boxed Jenkins.Boxing Prospect wrote:That Alpecin advert was...odd...

You gotta love Eggy. He's so game. They keep picking him to lose and he keeps winning.

If they score it a draw then they score it a draw. They should not lie.Neil Gee wrote:Draws are awful when British titles are on the line. They should make an effort to come to a decision. He's lazy.tsmithy50 wrote:He's not a crowd pleaser, but he still out boxed Jenkins.
He's either got a bad attitude or bad stamina.

Eggington looks mean walking in I sense a demolition job.

You're right, he's not a crowd pleaser, nor, it seems, a judge pleaser.tsmithy50 wrote:He's not a crowd pleaser, but he still out boxed Jenkins.Boxing Prospect wrote:That Alpecin advert was...odd...

Compare that performance to what Cuenca did... Sick of Sky telling us that fighters have world class skills, Nurse is a decent fighter but it's not a lack of power holding him back, it's often his own laziness.
Re: Manchester RBR July 18th
please be a war...
Re: Manchester RBR July 18th
he doesn't seem to be 'a leave it all in the ring' kind of fighter. But I think he should be British champion now. He won that fight.Horse wrote:He's lazy.tsmithy50 wrote:He's not a crowd pleaser, but he still out boxed Jenkins.

Not in my opinion.tsmithy50 wrote:he doesn't seem to be 'a leave it all in the ring' kind of fighter. But I think he should be British champion now. He won that fight.
Re: Manchester RBR July 18th
Fair enough but they never give a draw in the amateurs no matter how even it is. I just think it's a shame with a British title on the line that nobody wins it after all that.Horse wrote:If they score it a draw then they score it a draw. Really looking forward to this fight!
Re: Manchester RBR July 18th
Come on Eggy!
Re: Manchester RBR July 18th
R1 10-9 Foot - landed the best punch in a dull round.
Re: Manchester RBR July 18th
Foot won both IMO
Re: Manchester RBR July 18th
First round even second round Egg for me, but this hasn't caught fire yet.

Re: Manchester RBR July 18th
Not coming alive like I think we'd expected...shame
Re: Manchester RBR July 18th
think the egg could get a ko here
Re: Manchester RBR July 18th
I make it 2-2 but Egg's determination not to oblige Foot by having a war is killing the fight.
Re: Manchester RBR July 18th
2-1-1 Egg
Re: Manchester RBR July 18th
3-2 Egg

3-1-1 Egg
Commentary seems a bit biased in his favor though imo.
