Yep, I completely agree with you. Chavez v. Taylor has become sort of the cliched answer for any question like this, but to me it truly was the greatest come from behind KO in boxing history.

Gotta throw in an honorary mention to Firpo v. Dempsey though. One more second and Luis would have had the greatest come from behind KO in boxing history

well if the ringsider didnt help dempsey up, firpo probably would have won.

i dont think its a cinche, what about lamotta-duathille, lamotta was getting thoroughly outboxed then his playing possum payed off and he tore into duathille knocking him out with 13 sec left.

I have seen an artists drawing in a newspaper account of the Ketchell -Obrien fight in which Obrien is laying out cold on his back with his head in the rosin box. Great drawing.

The Weaver - Tate fight if I remember correctly was televised on A.B.C. on a Friday night in prime time. Man have things changed.

Weaver vs Coetzee - Coetzee was slightly ahead but was running out of gas quickly and by the 13th he had absolutley nothing left, Weaver stops Coetzee with a counter right. (Although if Coetzee's right would of landed first no doubt would Weaver be out cold)

coetzee wasnt ahead, what are u talking about. ur the most bias person i have ever seen when it comes to coetzee and ruddock. u think there top 10 heavies

Ruddock isnt top 10 but Coetzee and Ruddock are severly underated by many. But Coetzee and Ruddock are better fighters than Marciano, Walcott or Abe Simon!

By the way Weaver was behind and that Coetzee wasnt even the best form of him and he still gave Weaver one hell of a fight. Id say that the inexperienced Coetzee of the Weaver fight beats Walcott to an early knockout.

According to BoxRec, Weaver was ahead on all three cards at the time of the stoppage, which is how I remember the fight. It was very competitive, but Weaver was just a bit too skilled and strong for Coetzee.

The fight was on primetime on ABC, but it must have been on a different night because I remember we were all talking about the fights at school the next day. (Can you imagine kids talking about boxing anymore?)
Weaver was supposed to be a stepping stone for Tate, if would have won, he would have had a big showdown with Larry Holmes for mutli millions.

Here is a trivia question, Tate-Weaver was part of a quadrupleheader. Do you or anyone else remember who fought in the other 3 title fights?

Ah ..tough one all I can remember is Weaver -Tate and Eddie Mustafa Muhamed badly K.Oing Marvin Johnson. Did Leonard fight?
