Are there any decent sites for getting betting types, all sports?

Try Boylesports.com or paddypower.com i use these and they decent markets on most boxing matches happening and pretty much every sport going.

Calzaghe is nearly even money on paddypower.com btw must have been some serious dough coming in for lacy. If jc get sclose to even money then that would be my bet.

Kev – My advice is to avoid “tips” (from anyone). I gamble regularly, and know a couple people who do it professionally. They have always said to me, use your own knowledge, expertise, theories, gut-feeling and so on to come to a conclusion.

If any tipster were any good (I’ve never known one who is) they would be backing their own tips with hard cash, not passing out the word to others. Of course the odd tipster gives out the odd winning bet, but funnily enough you never hear again about all the poor advice and losing bets they’ve given out.

BTW - there's been a bit of a change in odds for Skelton-Williams, mostly down to stanjames putting their odds up. It was a general 2/5 Skelton 7/4 Williams.

Personally I think Williams wont win unless he gets in shape, but those who fancy him can now get 9/4 with stanjames, who offer a miserable 2/7 Skelton, with many others also closing Skelton down to 1/3 or 4/11

There's also been big changes on Nelson/Enzo, with prices being reversed since they first opened. Nelson is now 10/11 fav, Enzo 13/12 in a place.

Plus, sicknote betting gets interesting. Both him and Lacy are now available at over evens, so if you think a draw is out of the equasion, you can fill your boots with that

Anyone know where I can get odds for combo bets. I want to put some money down on Calzaghe, Harrison and Nelson all to lose their titles in their next fight on the one bet.

I bet a bit on the footy and tend to do that on Betfair where there's a lot of 'live and in-running' betting which means I can do some arbitrage betting.

On Betfair I've found that on underdogs you'll more often than not get better odds than at the 'normal' bookies, but for big favourites it doesn't make much difference.

Bet365 seems to have more boxing bets on offer than other bookies I've looked at, but the odds are often crap. On Betfair you can post your own odds up and might get them matched. Worth a try early on when a fight's announced.

I tend not to bother with tipsters either unless they can give some sort of objective reasoning as to why something may or may not happen. Someone telling me to lump it on such and such a boxer or team without any form of reasoning is just like those cranks who cause me grief at work by saying it's going to be a really hot summer or really cold winter and then refusing to discuss reasoning.

Actually, this is one of the good things about this forum; posters often tend to give reasons for things!

Reading (on a different forum) that one or two canadian's are intrigued by the Gatti vs Daamgaard fight... They are giving Daamgaard a chance, without even seeing him in action.

I have seen Damgaard, albeit a few years back and I give him half a chance, would of given him more of a chance had this fight been at light-welter. All depends on how much Gatti has left, still sceptical to write him off after the Mayweather performance as Mayweather has the ability to make an awful lot of fighters look bad.
Incidentally, http://www.igsport.com and http://www.binarybet.com are always good for boxing, different kind of betting to your normal fixed odds but fun nonetheless.
