Hatton Latest: Castillo, Corrales, Gatti & Freitas.....

Hatton would walk through Corrales, this fight would not last long imo!

Hatton should beat Gatti, but its a risky fight. Hatton i am sure will take some fire and his eyes could get badly damaged. its a risk not worth taking, certainly not after the way Floyd exposed Gatti as nothing but a brawler!

I've not seen Freitas for some time so have no comment other than Hattons size should be the telling factor.

Castillo, now this is interesting. Hatton has to get the nod, but i believe it would be a war in the early rounds and great to watch. I'd expect Hatton to stop Castillo at some point though.

I think both Frietas and Gatti are pointless fights, other than the fact they give Hatton big US exposure. Loose to either of them and your a laughing stock, nuff said!

Sounds like Rabah then - no way I'm going to PPV for that. Hatton will be 10-1 and it's the type of fight he was taking in his WBU days.

He shouldn't bother. I don't think it means as much anymore to hold all three major titles at once. (or four including the WBO). With PPV boxing fast making the casual fan a thing of the past, most of those paying for the privillege already know who the champion is.

I believe Hatton's mandatory is due by June. So he'll have to get that out of the way sooner or later. (I'm sure it's supposed to be a mandatory every 12 months).

As for not signing with Golden Boy Promotions, lets not forget relations between Oscar De La Hoya and Arum (Mayweather's promoter) are sour at best Hatton may see that as a potential stumbling block in a future Mayweather fight.

Plus the faction that no sooner are they unified, than the sactioning bodies split them up again.

Scenario: Bob Arum is approached with one of the largest fights in modern history - Mayweather versus Hatton.

Bob: No! I dont want millions of dollars and the historical recognition of pulling this fight off! Not to mention the possibility of my boy being the 140 pound champion because and only because my opponents is signed with Oscar!

yeah that's the problem i have with golden boy. u want the big fights at 140 and you'll likely have to deal with bob arum. he has mayweather, cotto and castillo.

IBF mandatories are due every 9 months so according to the rules he has to defend vs Rabah in march.

IBF mandatories are due every 9 months so according to the rules he has to defend vs Rabah in march.

They'll probably agree to extend this due to the injuries he got above his eyes against Maussa .

Hatton is a laughing stock to whom exactly, unified champion, undefeated in 40 fights, one of the top 10 p4p fighters in the world today.
