Price v Tepper
Re: Price v Tepper
Hate to say it, but Audley-esque.

Re: Price v Tepper
It's rare that I agree with Horse but Harrison was better than Price. Harrison of 10 years ago would land one on the big Scouse. I also think Price would've been KOd in the Williams and Guinn fights that Harrison lost. You can't say Price was better on the basis of beating a 40 year old man.
Matt Skelton on his early rampage would smash Pricey.

Re: Price v Tepper
On the flipside, Harrison would have been flattened in one round by Tony Thompson both times. Price is a different level in power to Audley, even though the rest of him is not.

I don't think that would have happened.sendo wrote:On the flipside, Harrison would have been flattened in one round by Tony Thompson both times.

Eddie saying they will be looking at Teper for AJ European title fight. Something I wanted to hear. In fact I think its a better fight then Joshus v Whyte.

Of course it is, Whyte is a nobody.Tarkus wrote:In fact I think its a better fight then Joshus v Whyte.

Re: Price v Tepper
Yea eddie also said wach and thompson were possible opponents for aj on the 12th of sept.....then pulled gary cornish out of his a*se.
Re: Price v Tepper
Let's see Joshua's chin tested before we go overboard on him. His career has eerie echoes of the way Price was emerging at the moment. Teper would be a great fight.
Re: Price v Tepper
I can't see the point of turning up to a fight and doing nothing, Price comes across as a lovely man but did not seem to try. He did not throw his jab with conviction or any power shots, he was on the back front from the first seconds when that's not his game. Honestly, what's the point?

Ye I thought it was weird BN didn't do a preview.veriton wrote:plenty of fights out there for price if he wants to carry on..i'd go for someone like piennata or wach. he just needs some lumbering lanky opponents to look good against. bit strange boxing news didnt even have a preview for his fight...there was a time when the euro heavyweight title was big news.
In essence this was a huge fight. If price won as predicted he'd probably be in with a top 10 heavy next.
I think it must of been a genuine mistake on BN part.

AJ's nowhere ready for a step up to Thompson. He needs to be stepped up gradually.chiggsy wrote:Yea eddie also said wach and thompson were possible opponents for aj on the 12th of sept.....then pulled gary cornish out of his a*se.

Lol,Whyte is an unbeaten Heavyweight prospect.
Who are you? just a saddo living his life through boxing forums trolling real boxers like Whyte who have the balls to get in the ring and try and achieve something.

Being unbeaten is not impressive by itself.london wrote:Lol,Whyte is an unbeaten Heavyweight prospect.

Whyte will not be a big win for Joshua unless he goes on to achieve something afterwards.
Beating him is pretty unimpressive and worth very little at this stage. He's a nobody.
Teper is top 15 or so in the world. He's a somebody and beating him is worth far more than beating Whyte.

Firstly, youre clearly the nobody here who comes across as someone who feels that they have massively underachieved in life and takes it out on real people trying to achieve something.
Whyte has already knocked down and beaten Joshua.
The hype around AJ is already Price like.
Teper wouldn't last 3 rounds with Whyte or Joshua.
Whyte KOs the hyped untested AJ within 4 rounds.

Teper is worthy of far more respect than the drugs cheat Whyte.london wrote:Firstly, youre clearly the nobody here who comes across as someone who feels that they have massively underachieved in life and takes it out on real people trying to achieve something.

Whyte is a nobody at heavyweight until he proves otherwise.

Whyte tested positive for a stimulant called DMAA found in an over the counter drink called Jack3d that's legal take in training but shouldn't be in the boxers system on fight night. Enzo Mac and Tony Dodson tested positive for the same stimulant.
AJ is a convicted drug dealer who pleaded guilty in Crown Court a year before the Olympics.
What ban did he get?
Which current British Heavyweights do you rate?
Re: Price v Tepper
I rate Tyson Fury, Dereck Chisora, Anthony Joshua, David Price, Hughie Fury & Michael Sprott as all clearly being above Dillian Whyte & I'd have a few more above him if they were active as well.london wrote:Which current British Heavyweights do you rate?
Whyte's even below Cornish in BoxRec's rankings. He's proven nothing.

In the past you've said that the BoxRec ratings are not accurate, so why use them here.Horse wrote:I rate Tyson Fury, Dereck Chisora, Anthony Joshua, David Price, Hughie Fury & Michael Sprott as all clearly being above Dillian Whyte & I'd have a few more above him if they were active as well.london wrote:Which current British Heavyweights do you rate?
