Is it still that a boxer has to be 21 before fighting for the British title?
If it is doesn't that seem a little stupid , as we have boxers such as Mitchell and Khan that could fight for world titles sanctioned by the BBBoC before there 21st birthday.
Surely its time the age was reduced to 16 or 18. Prospects are turning over young these days with the lure of money and the pro game, get out of the dark ages BBBofC! There is absolutely no point having an age limit of 21.
The British title is actually very, very good for the Khan brand, way more so than a WBU strap. Good in the eyes of the boxing community, and good for those selling Khan as the very British Asian kid.

The WBC allowed Tyson to be champ at 20 why can;t the others do it?
Relax , he won't be good enough to be a world champ by 21 anyway .
He's set a goal to be champ at 21 though.
I know , and I feel he will be undefeated at 21 but won't have been pushed quick enoguh by Warren . I can imagine Kahn having to settle for the WBU belt when he's 21 .
i will be very suprised if khan EVER fights for a british title.he will probably be fighting at a much higher level than domestic when he reaches 21,and the british will be seen as a step back.
