Raping women is a horrible thing to do. I think that a man should be able to repent for his crimes, but Tyson has not. He's shown no remorse for anything he's done in life, except losing all of his money.

What if a man was not guilty of the crime he was convicted of? There were major flaws in the court case, least of all eye-witnesses not being allowed to testify in court.

If the trial were to take place today, Tyson would be found not-guilty!

All the people who say Tyson is this, that, the world would be better without him etc, are just ignorant!

Tyson is a popular sportsman, always has been, always will be!

I'm going on memory but wasn't there a problem with the jury because King was trying to bribe certain members. Tyson and his people threw a lot of money at this case and we've seen time and tiem again how money can get you off for the most heinous crimes.

From what I read in books and heard I didnt really hear or read any evidende of rape, nor did I read/her anything of bruising or marks as a 220 pound man like Tyson holding down Washington would of made bruises on her arms or anywhere else - but there was no bruises of any kind.

One thing that also made me wonder was why didnt Washington scream? There was people I believe staying in rooms next to Tyson's and if she of screamed then people could of contacted the police immediently. Another question is that when Washington was in the bathroom at one point during this incident why didnt she contact for help as I believe there was a phone in there and why didnt she leave through the backdoor as there was a door in the bathoom that led out to the hallway I believe.

The whole trial was really her word against his and even though Tyson has done some bad things outside (and inside) of the ring, I dont think he is evil enough to commit a disgusting crime such as rape.

Trevor Berbick and Tony Alaya on the other hand are examples of evil men but Tyson is certainly not in their catergory.

I don't really see why Berbick and Ayala are evil but Tyson isn't?...... remember he got off from a hell of a lot before his behaviour fiinally caught up with him... what we know that he has doen is probably just the half of it....

Ayala did the same thing to a woman back in the 80's. Infact when Ayala used to knock someone down or out he sometimes spat on the opponent and we all know that after fights Tyson behaved kindly towards his fallen oponent - helping him up and hugging the opponent.

Berbick and Alaya's crime was so bad that Berbick was deported out of Canada back to Jamica and Alaya was in prison for about 19/20 years.

As I said Tyson has done some bad things inside and outside of the ring - but the stuff Mike did is really nothing compared to the pure evil crimes Berbick and Alaya had commited.

Did she fake the internal injuries she suffered and the 3 different stds that she caught from him?. I used to think he was innocent but after looking at all the evidence there is no doubt that he did it.... and this certainly wasn't the first time either. She may have been foolish going to his roon but that doesn't give him the right to do the things that he did to her....
as for her doing it for the money, she was the first person to bring charges against Tyson rather than just being brought off like other people were in the past and have been since.........

I havent heard that, I believe there was no injuries or bruising found of any kind. The whole trail was her word against his. Tyson had a chance of reducing his sentance if he admitted to the rape, Tyson said he rather go to prison for 1000 years than admitt to a crime he didnt commit.

Maybe you haven't looked closely enough... in a documentry in which Tyson himself took part it was revealed that Washington suffered internal injuries and also had 3 different types of sexually transmitted diseases from Tyson.... the claims that there was no bruising etc are just plain wrong.... Tyson had got away with very simular incidents in the past by just buying the persons silence... Washington was the first to be brave enougth to prosecute him despite the efforts of Tysons henchmen to buy her off.
I have no respect for Tyson any more, the man has had more chances to mend his ways than most people get in their lifetime, but the truth is that he enjoys his notoriety and the fact that some people still seem to believe that he is someone to look up to!...

Im just stating he has good in him to donate to the people who really need it and if he doesnt have respect to people than I must be one of his best friends as he sure as hell treated me kindly, and Im a man from South Africa where up to 1994 Black people were treated as inferiors but he treated me very kindly.

I already said the evidence I heard on previous pages of the thread. Washington had cried rape before on a person and she was found of being a liar - How can she be trusted? Ever heard of the boy who cried wolf, except in this case they believed the boy again.

I already said rape is a pure evil hideous crime, but it is also pure evil for a woman to accuse a man of rape when he didnt do it and I believe Tyson is completly innocent and people purely judge him from that rape now a days, not of his excellent talent in the ring and his intellegence of boxing history.

Berbick, Alaya, Ibeachi, David Hilton Jr, Michael Dokes - These are men who have done these crimes but we rarely hear anyone talking about them.

Same with the biting incident and I admitt that was a bad and awful thing to do but people seem to forget that Holyfield himself had amitted in biting an opponent, other examples are - Jumbo Cummings biting Renaldo Snipes on the shoulder, Michael Bentt biting Herbie Hide on the neck, Andrew Golota taking a chunk out of Sampson Pouha's shoulder But only Tyson is remembered for it and thats a damn shame.

All Washington was interested in was money and fame. I don't know much about the trial itself, but I do know that a woman will not put herself into the kind of position that Washington did unless she did want something. Now if she was a completely gulliable idiot who couldn't chew gum and walk at the same time then it would be believable that she just went up to Tyson's hotel room at 2:00, or 3:00 A.M. just to talk, but she was far from being a dunce when she spoke out on television. No, she was very intelligent and she knew exactly what she was doing and she got paid very, very well for it.

It's just common sense...if Tyson had raped her she would have been beaten all to hell. She would have had bruises all over her face and body, but from what I do recall about the trial she only had bruising to her private area, which would seem to be that she just had rough sex, or an abnormally large organ, which supposedly Tyson has. The only way that I would ever believe that Tyson actually did rape that girl is if he himself sat down and said yes I raped her, she came up to my hotel room and then would not put out so I took it, but he has never said that.
