Is it just me, or did Klitschko seem to be very amused by Tyson when he got into gear rather than upset??

He was like a proud Dad/ Uncle grinning ear to ear saying stuff like 'see, I told you he was an entertainer!'

And then Fury on his return tweeted about a bro crush on Wladmir.

I'm sure there are mind games in there, but bizarrely their personalities seem to gel!

Still think Fury wins, but I can't see him being a long term champ like Wlad.

I did like Woods' response to Tarver's table-banging. If the link doesn't work, it's at 2:28.

Shellsuit Holmes was the best. You don't get that kind of class any more.

Wlad is happy that Fury is selling the fight for him, he'll make more money.

I think you're in for a disappointing night my friend. Fury is going to get totally outclassed.

I'll happily eat my words if I'm wrong.

Yeah it's weird but Wlad doesn't actually see to take himself too seriously either, so I can imagine he actually gets on quite well with Tyson! He doesn't seem to mind trash talk, unless it's done in a crude or personal way like how Haye was doing it.

Wlad likes him, you can tell. He strongly disliked Haye. Everyone takes Tyson's spiel with a pinch of salt. Let's just hope he beats this useless, small heavyweight, feather duster, big stiff idiot...

But the main thing that changed my mind on him was his extremely honest interview on IFL after the 2nd Haye cancellation. Since then I've seen a few humble moments with him and I do believe he's an honest, loyal bloke with some glaring issues rather than a complete knob. Was impressed with the way he spoke about Price too.
What did he say about price, mate?
Can't remember exact quotes pal but was along the lines of feeling bad for Price and wishing him well in the future.

I'm not torn at all actually. I like Fury and would be pleased for him if he somehow pulls off the win but I would much prefer Wlad to hold onto the belts.

If Haye hadn't hyped up the Klitschko fight so much with the t-shirt displaying the decapitated heads or Groves hadn't hyped up the Froch fights by the garbage he was spouting they wouldn't have proved half as popular with fans. That's why it puzzles me when boxers like Klitschko and Froch get all offended by what the opponent says to them on the grounds of them lacking respect. The sh*t talk is selling the fight and putting money in their pockets for Christ's sake. Just take it for what it is, talk.
What are you basing this claim. There have been many huge fights without any trash talking. Froch/Kessler, Froch/Bute for example. Some of the biggest names are not trash talkers, Pacquiao, DelaHoya, Cotto, Hatton to name the few. Klitschko is a massive ticket seller himself.

Also where did you see Klitschko offended by lack of respect. In fact he wet out of his way to drag things out from Fury today.
Did I say Klitschko was offended by Fury? No, I said he was offended by Haye which he was.

So are you telling me that were it not for the hype and needle between Froch and Groves they would still have sold 80,000 tickets at Wembley? Of course not. Would Haye v Chisora have sold out Upton Park were it not for the pre-fight needle, I doubt it. Same for Harrison v Haye. Trash talk isn't needed for all fights but it is needed for fights which are otherwise viewed as fairly one sided.

Boxing and sport needs characters. I like Fury, it's all tongue in cheek and he's mildly amusing, like he said, it's more entertaining and fun than being like Klitschko with all his 'thanks for coming guys'. Klitschko just your typical robotic Ukrainian/Russian man, they have zero humour, takes himself WAY too seriously. I love a bit of trash talking so long as it's fun and Fury does it with a smile on his face.

Sweeping statement there! Unfortunately though, from my experiences, this statement seems to hold some truth.

Russians have a very well developed sense of humour - very black gallows humour, they needed to in order to cope with the last 200 years of shit they've been dealt.

Klitschko just is who he is - he doesn't try to be humorous, because it's not his nature to do so.

I agree Fury is a character - I'm looking forward to going to watch this fight, the buildup will be worth it alone.

I've met several Russian people over the years on my travels, I will always try and have a bit of a laugh with people but they literally do not have much, if any, humour. I have never met a more serious group of people than the Russians.

You have to speak their language to get their humour. It's usually too dry to translate. They don't like people making clowns of themselves though and will quickly form the impression that someone is a dick and has no self respect if he's doing the court jester routine.

I've met a few Russians over the years and they've all had an excellent sense of humour, although I agree it tends to be very dark, cynical humour (which suits me perfectly ).

And without wanting to add to the stereotype, I've also found they are great fun after a few bottles of vodka.

Wembley was sold out at the back of the controversy of the first fight. Of course some fights can be enhanced by trash talking but not by much nor is it necessary. There are trash talking going on in many fights that dont sell Stadiums.

Klitschko was upset with Haye because he posed with picture where he was killing his brother. Selling few more tickets cant be an excuse for everything. Frazier was also upset when Ali called him gorilla and Uncle Tom and rightly so.

Jennings gave Klitschko some problems last time out and even though Wlad was a clear winner,he never really imposed himself on him, just fiddled and fouled his way to a decision,as long as Fury doesn't allow him to lean on him which hopefully shouldn't be a problem giving Tyson's size and barring getting KO'd then Fury's chances aren't as slim as they seem

Fury for me is a better boxer and has more experience than Bryant Jennings and has better attributes to beat Klitschko than Jennings did,if Fury doesn't freeze and his corner make a fuss if Wladimir starts his usual funny business,if it becomes an out and out boxing match the playing field becomes more even

I'm seeing many people give Fury a realistic shot and far more than usual picking Wlad to lose.

It seems like Fury has a quite a bit of support, at least more than any Klitschko opponent since Haye. Even for most of last year I didn't notice this type of backing for Fury, but I guess his wins over Chisora and Hammer as well as Wlad's tepid showing against Jennings (I still thought Wlad won close to every round though and Jennings isn't bad) have changed things.

Fury has improved and maybe he really is the top heavyweight in the world now....at 39 Wlad will need to be on his game for this one.
