I thought Crolla won, he was very effective with his jab and did more than his share of pressing. Anthony also landed the most effective punch of the bout and with the 2 points deducted he should have been a winner by at least 3 or 4 points.

Crolla by four or five, with the points deductions, the judges who score for Perez and a draw had Crolla only winning five and four rounds respectively, which made very little sense

I had Crolla 115-111. The fight seemed closer than my scorecard, but Crolla won the close middle rounds for me.

I've just got round to watching last nights action so I don't know if I'm way off but I had it 113-113 as well, there were a lot of close rounds and I'd been watching boxing for hours by this time but I though a lot of Crolla's shots were pitty patty whereas Perez was landing more solid shots, its a shame Anthony right hand never landed earlier in the 2nd,Crolla did better than I expected and did a lot of pressing and hung in there with Perez all the way :salut:

Perez is an idiot though for nearly losing his title due to point deductions

To be fair to Perez the second points deduction was a joke, quite rightly a point was taken, but then the first low blow after that, a round later, that wasn't a heavy shot, warranted another point coming off? Very harsh IMO and summed up the officiating last night, which was on the whole very poor. The stoppage in the Murray fight was a disgrace, Liam Taylor beat Mark McKray 40-37 despite going down hard in the last round, Foot was stopped on a cut, but Jenkins' cut was much worse and he was allowed to continue, the point deduction from Foot was a joke, he held on a couple of times while clearly badly hurt and Steve Gray jumped in to take a point off.

Had Crolla winning by 3 points but some very close and hard to score rounds. I'm gutted for Crolla as seems a genuine top lad but its not the massive robbery people are trying to make it out to be.

Its funny how these people and Sky never kick up as much of a fuss when its the away fighter on the end of a poor decision/judging eh and that happening far more often.

The scoring here was ridiculous! I had Crolla winning clearly. Hopefully he gets the rematch and puts it right!

For the record, I hate poor judging whoever is affected. I remember my Olympics 2012 being ruined by British fighters just having to stand up to win fights. However, in general, I get your point

Thats true the olympics was very poor.

Try telling people (casual fans, mates etc) now AJ really shouldn't have won his gold medal and all I get back is yes he should he smashed it! I really doubt if any of them watched his fights.

I had Crolla winning, but it's not the huge robbery that people are making out (as others have mentioned, Burns vs Beltran was far, far worse). It was a close fight but Perez didn't really do enough for me, and the 2 deductions should surely have sealed it.

Either way, Perez definitely doesn't look like he'll be holding onto his title for long - a very poor champion imo.

Yeah, i try it out and get some very funny looks, like I don't know what I'm talking about. In the end, you just stop talking to casuals!

I was sat ringside and I had it Crolla by a couple of rounds, I thought he started to pull away towards the end and with the points deductions I thought it was a definite Crolla win, I thought some rounds were hard to score and it wasn't a good fight !

I dunno, Jim Watt was furious about the Burns/Beltran decision and was very vocal about it.
They talked about it alot the following week on ringside also.
Beltran was offered a rematch aswell.

Burns/Beltran was a bit of an exception though (because it was SOOOO bad).

I'm talking about the close fights go the home way (because thats all that Crolla was it wasn't any massive robbery) which is almost classed as standard.
