me too, I thought Damon looked really good and will have done 12 rounds ia few times iin camp - Blackwell attacks the bbody well though and though he stood up to them well, Jones did seem a little affected. He did himself proud and gave it a real go and he'll regroup and come again. Nick looked strong and very eager, its hard to beat a man who enjoys a fight and there are some good bouts around for him - Lockett is a very good trainer.

Probably best to watch channel 5 boxing recorded without knowing the results as watching it live is just full of adverts. A 2 hour show with less than an hour's boxing, very frustrating viewing.

Good knockout, clinical finish. I like Blackwell, very strong and improving with age in that respect. With a little more dicispline I think he can go to Euro level but he gets hit far too easily at the moment.

Just goes to show that tv shows don't necessarily have to be world beaters or prospects going for some intercontinental title etc.

There are some potentially cracking domestic fights at every weight.

That happened last time they put the show on live. The undercard that was supposed to run from 8pm to 10pm finished at 9:30pm. And then the main event finished so early, channel 5 managed to squeeze in the two fights they'd already showed on Spike TV earlier.

Still, their inexperienced at televising all nighters, I suppose. And I'll cut them some slack as they are putting boxing on freeview.

It's not inexperience - they (both Channel 5 and Mick) need to keep the fury family happy - hence why they always show the Hughie fights and interviews with Tyson.

I know this must be the millionth time I've mentioned it, but it still grates me that they put Hughie on twice. I know one was on Spike and one was on Channel 5, but surely that isn't necessary. If the casuals aren't interested enough in Fury to watch him on Spike, surely they could've fit an 8 round Lenny Daws fight in somewhere?

I don't understand your point. I'd have been perfectly happy if Daws had been on Spike, and Fury had been on Channel 5. In fact, that's what I was suggesting that they did.

The complaint wasn't that I thought Daws should be headlining, nor that I cared what channel he was on. The complaint was that I watched the Spike TV bit and the Channel 5 bit, and the Hughie Fury fight was on both of them.

yeah the main event was a cracking fight but the adverts after every round
Strangely for the Fury fight they didn't show adverts at all (when let's face it they probably would have been more interesting than the fight). I didn't even watch it after that, I went to bed.
