Especially not on somebody considered a fair sized underdog such as Tyson.

Wouldn't bet a months wages on Mayweather to beat Berto so certainly wouldn't do it on an underdog

I would if I was an MP, because I'd know that my more than generous expenses would cover any potential loss.keithmoonhangover wrote:Or benefits for those in need of gainful employment.

I wouldn't bet the money down the back of my settee, but I'll cheer him on.

Why ask this? Fury isn't going to win.keithmoonhangover wrote:Or benefits for those in need of gainful employment.

Some people think he is. I don't think Horse has a job, but if he did, he'd bet on him.ILikeBeer wrote:Why ask this? Fury isn't going to win.keithmoonhangover wrote:Or benefits for those in need of gainful employment.

I wouldn't bet a tenner on Fury, let alone a month's wages.
Re: Would You Bet a Month's Wages on Fury?
Not necessarily on Tyson to win outright but I would bet and have/will continue to back the fight not to go the distance. I just think Tyson will make Wlad fight to a degree similar to what he had to with Pulev.
If I am right in that thought (which is not a gimmee of course) then I cannot see the fight going the distance as one fighter at least will connect several times with shots and thereby closing the show at some stage before the bell strikes twelve.
Thats the theory anyway so yes will be staking plenty but not on the outright win for either man

I wouldn't bet my lunch money on Fury.

Not a chance!
Re: Would You Bet a Month's Wages on Fury?
I once had £2000 on Fury in the rematch against Chisora which was a lovely betting experience given Chisora couldn't land a punch but there's no way I'd be backing him to beat Wlad.

I made good money on the first Chisora fight. I haven't bet much since I blew my stack on Povetkin to beat Wlad.SteveDow wrote:I once had £2000 on Fury in the rematch against Chisora which was a lovely betting experience given Chisora couldn't land a punch but there's no way I'd be backing him to beat Wlad.

I had a couple of horrible losses in May on the snooker which have made me re-evaluate my betting and reduce the stakes drastically.keithmoonhangover wrote:I made good money on the first Chisora fight. Or indeed if the referee had done his job properly, Povetkin may have beaten him. That matchup without excessive holding becomes much more interesting.keithmoonhangover wrote:I made good money on the first Chisora fight. I agree. Mrs Fletch is still unhappy about it, although she encouraged me to bet, as I'd done nowt but pick winners for ages.Riddick Blowe wrote:Or indeed if the referee had done his job properly, Povetkin may have beaten him. I wouldn't bet that much no, however, I will have a cheeky little bet on him and will be willing him on.
I think he will lose for the record but you never know!!

Re: Would You Bet a Month's Wages on Fury?
I had £100 on Yunieski Gonzalez to beat Jean Pascal.
And the moral of that story is, even if you do enough to beat the favourite on points - don't expect to get the nod.
So no, the odds of Fury knocking out Wlad are very small and I think Wlad's overall 'look' will award him the even rounds.
Fury has to win and win convincingly, against Wladimir Klitschko in Germany . Just think about that for a moment !
