Stevenson-Karpency

Post by crusader »

Adonis just tweeted that this will happen September 11th in Toronto.

Karpency is coming off a win over shot Chad Dawson, but he was thoroughly outclassed in losing every round to Cleverly (Mohammedi did much better). I think he's somewhat better than given credit for, but still a very disappointing opponent.

Dawson was injured and literally fought with one hand for almost all the fight and was still close to outpointing Karpency. Stevenson under Haymon is the utter disappointment.

If ReggieDiggs were around I'm sure we'd already have his assurance that it's a solid fight.

Karpency isn't very good.

This is a mismatch. Adonis should have fought his mandatory Isaac Chilemba.

We shouldn't have to be comparing guys to Mohammedi to determine whether or not they are deserving. Anyone with more potential than Karpency would be nice. This just feels like one of those sad one sided Calzaghe or Dariusz defenses during their long title runs.

Karpency STINKS. He only beat Dawson bc he threw his shoulder out and was boxing with one arm.

Huge mismatch. Kovalev - Mohammedi was a huge mismatch too, but Mohammedi was a mandatory challenger, so no comparison should be made here.

Dawson fought better after breaking his hand.

Stevenson has officially passed the ghost as my least favorite fighter.

Oh and at this point, I think it is safe to say the only real benefit of PBC is it seems to have forced HBO to up their quality a bit.

Every fight since Bellew has been a step down. Absolutely shameful.

Who's next? Glen Johnson? Yusaf Mack?

Nah, they will bring somebody from 168, like Paul Smith.
