Didn't expect that, but when I watched Kovacs fight Smith I noted that he at least came with ambition, unlike many of the fighters brought in from the same area.

Any idea why this was in Germany?

I was looking at Kovacs record to see where i recognised him from(Mitchell Smith)

Anyways i noticed he got done in a round in Ireland by a boxer called Phillip Sutcliffe Jr(8-0,6KOs) Ive never heard of him,the 2 fellas that took him the distance he decked,so i gather he hits quite hard

Has anyone heard of him before? He might be one to look out for

Sutcliffe is a former Irish amateur senior champ but is made for the pro game. Phil has unbelievable power with both hands, but like most big punchers has suffered in the past with damaged hands. He was due to box on Saturday in Belfast but had to withdraw due to bruised knuckles. It's hard to estimate how far he could go but it's safe to say that us Irish boxing fans have high hopes for him

Bloody hell, that was nasty. The lad was a bit too brave for his own good.

What was the deal with this fight? McCullough seemed to be there to win but was he way out of his class as i've no idea about him?

Shame, Marco was on an excellent run of form and always seemed to feature in exciting battles. Hope he can get back on track quickly.

Sutcliffe KO1 Kovacs -

Wow see what you mean about Sutcliffe, that's a great debut knockout right there, even though the ref slightly cocks up the stoppage due to language barrier.
Very heavy handed obviously, hope they sort out the hand issue asap
