I love giving fast Eddie stick usually but I must admit im quite looking forward to the card tomorrow.

I know Campbell should win but I've now got the feeling that Coyle might just surprise us...it's probably because I think he's a nice fella and Campbell I'm not to sure about his personality but I'm pulling for tommy to get the job done.

Even Rose - Jones should be fun, plus Dillian Whyte etc - should be a decent night.

Yeh I'll take it, not that bad at all, couple of good fights the rest look dross though, will be interested to see Dillian Whyte as I've only seen glimpses of him.

its a poor card for such a big show with big gate receipts. another big name was needed on the show..Joshua or bellew etc.

Definitely. With possibly 20k there, it would have been good for another name but i guess that with it being outside an early finish is needed

I was watching back the Jones vs Kell Brook fight the other day. I think Jones is such a tough little fighter, such a nuisance he took Brook right to the brink in that first fight and we know that Brook is decent enough world level these days. I can see Carson Jones beating Rose again who is over-rated, nothing more than domestic class. I'm having a punt on Jones outright victory at 7/4 on Betfair, crazy price.

Cannot wait for Campbell-Coyle,Jones-Rose rematch is great too,i think the Ward-Blanco fights a decent match up,looking forward to see Whyte against an opponent who's been in with some good heavy's and as much as i love Burns,its his fight that will be the snoozer and believe it or not IMO a potential banana skin,not that Ofutsu is anything special he's not,its just Ricky has that tendancy to make straight forward fight's tough,its a trait he's always had

I'm as excited by Coyle Vs Campbell in the same way as I'm excited by paint drying. Completely different levels and it's disappointing Luke isn't further on with his career by now...I know things with his father have held him back but this bout is just pointless.

Not for Eddie's wallet. He said recently that when he packs out big arenas he can afford to bring in big names (Kiko Martinez and Perez on the Manchester bill recently) so who's getting the money on this card? Getting jones over isn't good enough.

Hope the forecast is correct, rain supposed to be done by 5/6pm, would be even better if it misses the Stadium/Hull area. Have a great time to those forum users who are going. I think it's a pretty good card for a Saturday night, and am looking forward to the further Joshua/DW build up, obv. expect AJ to be ringside. Jones/Rose is a fascinating rematch. The main event is one I am personally looking forward to, as Coyle both has a dig, but also a button on his chin, so should make for a "don't take your eyes off screen" match. The Brizuela fight was a highlight of Sky's "fights of the year" program (look it up on Sky+ if it's still on their on-demand option, I watched it before the Gethin fight. Ricky Burns also worth watching.

Slight shame that there isn't maybe one other big name having breeze up, or a decent 50/50 or 60/40 contest, but we can't have it all. I know Bellew has been mentioned in this thread, but perhaps another option would have been Cleverly in his rebuild at LHW route with Braemer as destination, he fought on the 02 card in May but took the opponent out with a body-shot inside 1 round. As with all these things I am sure training camps/other negotiations don't make it as easy to arrange as all that.

All in all, I'm looking forward to Saturday night. Will get a curry on and should be good!

He's had 11 bouts! And Coyle is a good match at this stage.

Could be 11 or 25 he's an Olympic champion who, 2 years from claiming that gold, is fighting Tommy fornicating Coyle! A guy almost beaten by a guy Campbell himself blitzed! He should have kicked on after the Brizuela win (10 months ago!) but yet is now facing Coyle.

The guy is 28 in September, and in one of the weakest divisions, that he will out grow sooner rather than later, kick on, and get to those all important fights. Careers are short.

As for it being a "good match", it would have been had it been at the start of the year after Campbell wiped the floor with Birzuela, now it's a cash grab by the fast car. We should be wanting to see out prospects pushed, not defending the sort match making that is continuing to turn fans away from the sport...

He's even announcing them as being from East Hull and West Hull, it's even on the poster... Hull is not THAT big! It's a blatant play on Rugby loyalties. He's called the next Josh show "Marching on together", the last one was "We are Leeds"! He certainly knows how to go for an angle, does young Edward.

Not really bothered about tonight. Least its not ppv! Whole card looks average as per usual mismatchroom.

The main event has the favourite at 1/10! Some 50/50 match up! Brian rose isn't any good and burns is past it

-Coyle is a good step-up opponent for Campbell and I think somewhat underrated on here, but he's not someone I look to provide a major test or have a good shot of winning. He usually gives it his all though and it could make it a decent watch.

-Rose and Jones are two limited guys who aren't near world class despite Rose's title shot and Jones's fights with Brook, but it seems like a fairly even match-up to me and I don't mind it for what it is.

-Didn't even realize Burns was fighting! Never heard of his opponent....

-Whyte should win easily against someone who has always lost when he's fought decent opponents.

-Never seen Ward's opponent fight but that fancy 21-1-1 record doesn't seem nearly as good when you see who he's boxed.

Overall it's a meh card....some things worth giving a look if I'm free and others that I won't bother checking out.

Not a great card but I am looking forward to it for some reason. Coyle is the best guy Campbell has faced so far and it is an eliminator so hopefully we'll see him step up another level after tonight. Also looking forward to see how Burns looks at 135 again albeit against limited/unknown opposition. It beats sitting watching NetFlix with the Mrs!

I think it's a pretty good card, certainly better than some of the extremely poor shows we've been served up recently. Unfortunately I'm not able to watch live as have to go out for a friend's birthday, but looking forward to catching up when I get in.

I still think Coyle vs Campbell is a mismatch, but at least it should be an entertaining mismatch. Rose vs Jones could turn out to be a good one as well.

Why don't we just get behind it? What do you want him to be doing after 11 fights? It's a big deal up here, and nearly 20,000 tickets speak for themselves. It's an inter city scrap between two lads who trained together. Now they're filling stadiums, it's a great story.

I'd love Coyle to land a big one and throw a spanner in the works for Eddies / Campbell's plans.Coyle is always exciting to watch ,rarely disappoints and appears to be relishing the under dog role .At 12/1 for a ko/tko win he's got to be worth a little tinkle in a two horse race ( he openly admits he won't win on points) .

Won't be on the sky coverage but anyone going tonight should look out for another local contest on the undercard . Two Hull lads , Danny Little v Nathon Smith had a cracking little well matched six rounder last year on the Coyle/Katsidas card that ended in a draw.
