That fight must be up there as one of the best of all time in the UK. Didn't something similar happened when Hatton fought Stephen Smith.Tarkus wrote:Also in Wolak vs Foreman fight ref threw the towel back. But it is getting more complicated when the guy just walks in the ring, which is a infringement on its own right.handsofstone wrote:I agree,l remember Mickey Vann done that in the Katsidis-Earl fight,Graham's corner threw the towel in,Mickey threw it out again then Earl decked KatsidisTarkus wrote:Ref should have thrown towel back, asked security to remove the corner man and continue fight.

Rose looking very dry, doesn't look like he's got much of a sweat on from his warm up.

Surely IJL felt that lens pointed at him there
Re: Sky Sports Hull card
More I think about this fight more I am convinced in Jones win. Rose is just too much of a basic fighter.

Moving away from the Rose fight - what were those Lightweight rankings from Sky. I think it is very difficult to still have Ricky Burns at #1 given that we have a WBO champion - and a guy who beat then man (clearly) who beat Derry Mathews.

Halling nutting himself that Jones has got off to a slow start which he almost always does anyway.

Burns deserves the No. 1 spot.stujones wrote:Moving away from the Rose fight - what were those Lightweight rankings from Sky. I think it is very difficult to still have Ricky Burns at #1 given that we have a WBO champion - and a guy who beat then man (clearly) who beat Derry Mathews.

What a round
Re: Sky Sports Hull card
This reminds me of George Groves crying he shouldn't have been stopped by Froch the first time only to be properly flattened in the rematch.

Until today Burns had not won a lightweight fight for over 2 years.Horse wrote:Burns deserves the No. 1 spot.stujones wrote:Moving away from the Rose fight - what were those Lightweight rankings from Sky. Anyone know the in-play odds on a Jones win?
