Hughes V Callaghan
Sean Hughes is to fight Marc Callaghan for the English Super-Bantamweight title on March 3rd in Hartlepool (Hunter undercard). Its a crossroads fight for both fighters but who do u think will win?
It's a good fight I reckon with plenty on the line for both career's wise. Have seen a fair bit of them up close and while I'd make Callaghan a slight fav it's not an overly confident pick. Hughes is crafty and has under-rated skills. Callaghan can box and his power is under-rated (I know Michael Hunter rates him as his toughest opponent (INCLUDING Pickering!). Deffo worth a watch.

I cannot see why it won't be, not much depth to the devision. It can be an eliminator - although the fight will probably not happen (remember Alan Bosworth won an eliminator to face Witter again, but then the BBBoC backtracked and said there was no worthy opponent - so gave Witter the belt for keeps.).seanhughesfan wrote:it says on boxrec its an eliminator for the british super batamweight title is this true? i just thought it was for the english title. i cant see the winner fighting hunter again hes got bigger fish to fry.
These are two top 5 domestically in the devision, so why not an eliminator.
