Danny Garcia wont KO Malignaggi
Re: Danny Garcia wont KO Malignaggi
Al Heyman's a great matchmaker.
Re: Danny Garcia wont KO Malignaggi
And to think quite a few people gave Paulie a decent chance in this.
What a joke.
What a joke.

Stupid posts like this make me wonder why I even post here. Dude is 31-0 with wins over LMM, Peterson and Khan and he's in danger of fading into obscurity.handsofstone wrote:I never seen than coming, caught me unawares but i'd never argue, Malignaggi was never in it,landed 2 punches the whole fight i remember but he threw at least double that![]()
Garcia was worst ive seen him if im honest, even though he never dropped a round and got a stopage,he was worse than he was against Herrera and Peterson
He should've performed a lot better tonight against opposition,he needs a proper test yet or he's in danger of fading into obscurity
F'n hell. This is piss poor commentary.

I agree. No idea what they were seeing, and some of them are people whose opinion I generally respect.diddy wrote:And to think quite a few people gave Paulie a decent chance in this.

I don't think Garcia is fading into obscurity, but I do believe that his stock has fallen among boxing fans.
Re: Danny Garcia wont KO Malignaggi
The problem of some boxing fans - they aren't intelligent thinkers. And are often blinded by personal biases or one-track thinking. One-track thinking like they don't like Garcia fighting Salka and winning close decisions vs Lamont and Herrera so their mind is overtaken by their heart and they want to see him lose - so because they want to see it they let their heart talk their mind into something that may be nonsensical, but they don't care. They want what they want - and it spills out into debates. That's the only logical explanation. Anyone who has watched Paulie lately should know he would have nothing for Garcia. And also know Paulie is nowhere near the level of Lamont Peterson. Forcrusader wrote:I agree. Christ sake Lamont beat Khan. The same guy that ran Paulie over. Thinking Paulie could beat Garcia just because Lamont gave him a tough fight is simply retarded thinking and lacking all sense or logic.
Re: Danny Garcia wont KO Malignaggi
BTW, every time you see Paulie get his ass beaten by someone good - Hatton, Cotto, Khan, Porter, Garcia....it just reminds you how much Adrien Broner sucks.

Your one to talk diddly, all you do is moan and critisize fighters, you even started a thread last night about a fight being fixed then in your first sentence said it wasnt fixeddiddy wrote:Stupid posts like this make me wonder why I even post here. I like Garcia as much as the next guy but with each passing fight his name gets linked with Mayweather less and less, people are losing intrest

Garcia is ticking over, he's winning but not gaining momentum and it still seemshe is caught between weights. On his night Garcia is a tough and dangerous puncher who can jab and defend well. I've not seen last night's bout though it's clear Paulie is coming toward the end of his top level career - I prefer him as a pundit, he's very good and insightful. Garcia will be a handful for most at 147 in another 6 months and a bout between Danny and Thurman would be a pick em.
Re: Danny Garcia wont KO Malignaggi
What people don't understand is that it takes 2 boxers to make a great fight. Paulie clearly didn't want to engage and get in DSG's crosshairs so he fluttered in and out, ducking and clutching. There's not a whole bunch DSG could have do about that. The ref was allowing the holding and the ducking to go on.
DSG was in an absolute no win situation last night with this fight. Thurman vs Garcia will be a dandy.

Re: Danny Garcia wont KO Malignaggi
I've admired both Paulie and Garcia, I've not seen the bout yet but if Paulie was resorting to lunging in and grabbing then I hope he packs in or drops the level of opposition. Because of his lack of power he has had to be both very brave and very skilled to get results against very hard hitters. I hope Danny gets a meaningful bout soon, if he's a grown welter then he ought to match skills with other top welters.
Re: Danny Garcia wont KO Malignaggi
Late news but Paulie needs to retire. Spunk gets you hurt but does not win boxing matches. Danny presented another mediocre performance. He is not showing me Championship material.
Re: Danny Garcia wont KO Malignaggi
Garcia looked bigger.
Paulie's been showing signs of wear and tear for some time, brave gutsy guy though and a decent commentator so far.
Garcia is a capable boxer who has it in him to win strategic contests, it's hard to count him completely out against most top Welterweights on his day.

Yup. I agree. I would not count out Garcia against anyone at 147. I think Garcia's strength in general is underestimated. Plus he has good Boxing ability.Evander wrote:Garcia looked bigger.

For sure, in fact when you start to look down Danny Garcia's resume and see a win over Matthysse, a KO of Khan and combine a number of other opponents together it's actually starting to look quite good for him.MachoTime wrote:Evander wrote:Garcia looked bigger.

His power isn't too shabby and he can box quite well, if he brings the drive determination and will to win all in one night he could be a handful.
